Coffey and Thompson Art Gallery

Several months ago my husband took a family heirloom oil painting of his grandmother in for restoration and reframing. He did not get any receipt from them for the painting. After not hearing anything from them since he dropped it off he went down to check on it and was told it had been sent out for restoration and not yet returned to them. About a week later, my hubby was out of the house and I answered the phone and Mr. Coffey told me that he was sorry but the picture was lost and no one knows where it is at all and did we have a photograph of the pic so they could find it. We did not have a photo of it. My hubby is 71 yrs old and this oil painting was his grandmother as a young woman so it was well over a hundred years old. There has not been any offer to compensate him at all. They did apologize but my hubby is very upset about their cavalier attitude. I would NEVER take anything back there again or certainly cannot recommend them to anyone.

I really was just killing a little time waiting for my sweetie & stopped in here for a few minutes.
I only looked around a little, but saw a nice piece by Pérez I might go back in & check out.

Under the same roof with Gil Gallery — Coffey & Thompson has mostly Wildlife Pictures, which I am not a fan though many people are! However they do have some stunning Paintings that are incredible and always catch my attention!
