Cool shop for all things home-​brew. Knowledgeable staff with loads of spare parts, systems, and beer itself to send you on your merry way and blissful nirvana of getting drunk at home and not having to worry about getting in the car for another beer run.
The staff could be a bit nicer, if I’m being blunt and honest — there certainly is an air of self-​righteous snobbery going on. But to be honest, that’s almost forgivable these days given the recent douche-​infestation of the craft beer game. Once through the prickly exterior however, the staff proved to be wicked smart and helped me with my home keggerator questions.
Would love to see more variety on their keg list. Seemed to be overly crowded with stouts, IPAs and heavier stuff for the more rotund connoisseur. Lining up some more Pale ales, or even some of the India Session IPAs would be a most welcome adjustment.
This is also one of the only places I’m aware of in South Charlotte that will refill your CO2 tanks.

Great service and beer, fun tastings! A nice place to relax and drink as well as supply your home bar or kitchen. Reasonable tap prices as you get a big pour and very knowledgable and passionate staff.

So, I’ve been a customer of theirs for 4 years, having my outdoor kegerator serviced 4 times a year. I recently asked them to service my kegerator as part of my quarterly agreement. I was out of town at the time. When I came home, my taps were crooked as I had left them because I had attached my Randall to them. Without checking my lines, I emailed them and asked them if they had actually cleaned them since the taps were still out of line and they said yes. I asked why weren’t the taps placed back in the normal position and they said they thought that’s how I wanted them, which makes no sense. My response was «I guess. Tnx». Here is Geoff’s (the owner’s response):
You have been a customer of ours for a while, but you are acting like a jerk.
Since you are questioning my integrity, I will be refunding your pro-​rated
service plan cost (minus the cost of the co2 tank we replaced) and let you find
someone else to clean your lines.

Well, needless to say, I will no longer be asking them to service my kegerators, nor buying kegs or CO2 from them. What kind of customer service is that? Sounds like displaced aggression to me. Either they have a serious attitude problem or they are doing way better than any business I have patronized. Good luck in the future CHP!

My local watering hole. Very friendly staff that knows their brews and beer systems. No judgement here, come as you are. Great place to grab a beer or two after work. Always 8 random/​uncommon/​or popular beer in tap. Tons of bottles to chose from. Also great place to buy kegerators and beer systems to customize your man cave! They also refill CO2 tanks here. There’s a very good list of in-​stock kegs and hundreds of kegs you can order and usually get within a day or two. If you have any questions relating to beer and systems these guys know their stuff! There’s typically one or two guys manning the store so be patient and you’ll be rewarded by delicious beer and professional service!

Every dude should walk through this joint at least once, if anything to dream of a day when you can actually afford to utilize their fresh pub customization services. Even those meat-​heads that pride themselves on downing a case of cat piss aka Miller Lite, yeah, this place is a must for you too.
Synopsis– Customize beer mediums & associated décor with custom materials supplied here. From basic glassware, to tap handles, to starter kits, to full beer rooms. Yes, full rooms custom designed and installed (?) by the experts here. Incredible.
So you might ask yourself, why roll in and tempt yourself? Well, one, again, not everything is a wallet-​buster. You can walk out with a few custom items and spend under $ 20, sure. The other reason is for their beer tasting events. Ace. Check the website below to get info on their next tasting. More often than not, they have reps roll through of some very respectable breweries. As a side note, I’m not sure on their draft beer stock outside their tastings, but I’d imagine it would be fairly average.
Venue itself is close-​quartered, few seats & couches, TV’s, and one fair-​sized bar (custom made of course). Definitely have a staff that is knowledgeable as all hell and friendly to newcomers.

first I’d like to note that this is a 3.5 star kinda joint so not a bad place. I’ll start with what I like.
They always have a great little draught list, yes at the back is a little bar area. Small, cozy, TV, seating for ~10ish people comfortably. And prices are reasonable as well for a pint of good craft beverages. They will often have rare stuff too, just the other day I was in 2÷20÷14 and they still had hop slam on tap! Also had it in bottles! (Might be last place in CLT). Which takes me to next point! They also keep a limited selection of bottles 12’s and bombers… and selection is always pretty good I.e. still have hop slam and priced fairly as well. Also deserves mentioning, they have everything to hook your man cave up!!! I’m pretty sure this is where they make majority of revenue. They were even featured recently on the man caves TV show in DIY Network I think. Kegerators, tap systems, home brew stuff, décor, they got it all, they even sell kegs! Very good prices on a few of these I noticed.
Side note like once a month on Thursday or friday nights they’ll do a tap takeover from different breweries, usually $ 10 for your full fill of sampling and glass to keep!

A bright spot in Matthews! I first spotted Custom Brew Pubs from the road traveling down Independence Blvd. The shopping center it is in has long since changed hands (I think there used to be a K-​mart or some big box store there)… but now it’s frequented by the Elevation Church on weekends. Anyways… back to Custom Brews.
It’s a great place for making your «man cave» with keg-​erators, tap handles, glasses, and even a little tap bar to try some local brews. They’ve had tasting events were the rep gives you a taster and you guys can go taste to your hearts content. Often with tasting events comes a local food truck to supply the food.
Looks like they do provide equipment and ingredients to get your own «home brew» started as well: bottle capers, buckets, brewing kits.
Plenty of parking available, and easily accessible to 485, this place is definitely a cool place to check out, hang out, and keep up with all things man cave, beer, and just having a good time.

One of my favorite places to grab a pint of fresh craft beer. Be sure to connect with them on Facebook so you can get invites to their monthly brewery «take over». It’s the best deal in town, for $ 10 you get unlimited samples of the month’s featured brewery. Order your kegs and kegarators. Geoff provides A+ customer service.

What an AWSOME! place for all my Kegerator and home bar needs. They will even come to a business and build their tap system. They supply the kegs as well with every kind of beer that is available in our state by the distributor. Not to mention they have beer on tap on-​site so that one may try one of the great craft beers they offer before making that decision to carry a keg home. Don’t have a Kegerator? They sell and rent them. They also offer a service plan for those who own a Kegerator. They have a wide selection of bottled craft beers as well. Don’t forget to ask about all the wonderful craft beers from our local craft breweries. They also sell Home Brewing supplies for those who wish to try there hand at brewing their own beer. Their staff are superb and always service you with a smile. Go check them out. I guarantee you will enjoy yourself while there.

Rented kegerator and got two mini kegs for a great price from these guys for our wedding May 2015. Tip top service for a great price and they even included delivery/​pickup which was over an hour away. For weddings, there is no better for beer.
