I worked with a cabinet designer who made a drawing based on measurements she asked me to bring in. Not a lot of work went into it since software is used based on the dimensions. She gave me the drawing the next week when I came back to the store after she called and said the drawing was ready. When I asked if I could take a cabinet sample home (a tiny piece of wood mind you) she said they would require a deposit of $ 850 which I stupidly gave her. I decided to go with another company who didn’t charge me anything to come out to measure and leave me samples. I asked Dci if I could use the $ 850 toward appliances instead and was told it would have to be used toward cabinetry and that the $ represented the time the designer spent with me (30 minutes in the store at most, maybe an hour drawing on the compuer, just a rudimentary layout). Again, my stupidity for giving in and writing the check. Just a warning to others. They are very nice about it though!
