Love the atmosphere here! The Crab Cakes, Creamed Spinach and the Del’s Salad was delicious!

My wife and I dined, tried to dine at this restaurant and my steak was not done as requested. It was rare and I requested medium well. It was returned 3 times and I paid for my wife’s meal and submitted my dislikes to Rick on line. At first, no answer from the complaint, then a paper trail had to be started to see if I was there and paid for my meal. I didn’t pay because I didn’t eat. Only my wife ate. A paper trail was started and after a bank statement was presented via fax, Rick totally stopped communicating with me. Getting a bad rap because you think I am trying to grab a free meal? Absolutely not!

I had an excellent dinner here last night. The steak was cooked to perfection and almost fell apart when I cut into it. The Demi glaze was also delicious. I enjoyed my Bloody Mary mix. It tasted homemade the service was excellent.

Well, I used to love this place, and my husband and I, who eat out nearly every night since the kids are grown and gone, ate here often. But I recently had a conversation with the manager here, and I’ve had a great change of opinion about Del Frisco’s. I called about some gift cards I bought at Costco for the restaurant, Sullivan’s. We had been told, years ago, that these cards could be used at both restaurants because they’re owned by the same company. And we have, at times, successfully used these cards to pay for our meal at Del Frisco’s. But the manager at Del Frisco’s let me know that we can no longer use them, because Sullivan’s is a – well, it’s like a Buick and Del Frisco’s is like a Cadillac. And, ya know, it wasn’t WHAT he said, it was HOW he said it. Well, it’s your loss, Del Frisco’s. After years and years of our frequent business — formerly satisfied, big mouthed customers who used to love to send people to your restaurant and left generous tips with your servers — I really don’t like snooty managers. And by the way, Sullivans has 4 stars on Unilocal the same as you. But if you continue to alienate loyal, frequent customers with that attitude — you may eventually lose some of those stars… You’ve certainly lost a lot of steady income from us.

Went there last night. For a Resteraunt of this so called caliber service was fair, food was fair, and the«ambiance was«horrible«. You would think this place and the prices they charge would have a dress code. We sat upstairs I and thought we were at the chicken ranch. There was a couple of woman who were so scantily dressed it was embarrassing. All they did was take selfies of themselves with flashes all during dinner. The management should have asked them to stop. If your going to charge prices you charge you should be more responsible and considerate to your patrons.

I’m really very disappointed with Del Friscos. My boyfriend made a reservation for Valentine’s Day a month in advance, & we still had the only options of the 3:00pm or 9:15pm reservation. No big deal, we understood that this was a busy night for them. When we arrived the restaurant was half empty… The Valentine’s Day menu did not offer much in the way of options. Steak, steak, & more steak. I get it, it’s a steak house. I decided to go with the 8oz lobster tail. Which was surprisingly HUGE, I was not complaining. Boyfriend got a steak cooked to perfection. The table stayed dirty. If at a less expensive restaurant, I would never even comment on this, but this stands out to me when the check is going to be $ 150+. Drinks were very weak, but of course very expensive. So now is when things really started spiraling down. When we received the check my lobster tail was $ 120!!! Jeeze! I asked the waiter to explain & I guess he had rang in the 20oz tail. They did correct this, but blame shifted it on us. I WOULDNEVEREVERSPEND $ 120 on a lobster tail. That’s just bonkers. Before we got the check, my boyfriend went outside to inform valet that we were ready to go. I noticed a long line of people at the bar waiting for their cars. 30MINUTESLATER! Still no car. 45 minutes later NOCAR! Boyfriend outraged spoke with the manager, who was sarcastic and had a serious attitude. Valet lied and said that they had pulled the car around, but reparked it due to no one coming to get it. Lies! The manager could only respond saying it was a 3rd party valet company… Okay so what? If they suck this bad, get another valet company. We will not be back. There are plenty of high end steak houses, with more class in Charlotte fortunately. Capital Grill remains my favorite.

We went to Del Frisco’s for 2 reasons. 1. Queens Feast(their menu selection). 2. Our daughter’s birthday. Due to the promotion I couldn’t place a favorable reservation for over a week. Upon arrival I still had to wait an additional 15 mins past my reservation time to be seated. I found this very annoying. We already knew what we wanted to sample from the menu(which is why we chose DF); however, it took extra long for the each course of the meal to be brought to the table. I also noticed that all the surrounding tables were on the same time frame as us(think of cruise ship dining). We were highly disappointed with our meal. None of our steaks were cooked appropriately. From the long wait we didn’t want to send them back. The food runner did suggest that since our plates were 500 degrees that if we cut our steaks and place them face down on the plate they will continue to cook to our desired temperature. Needless to say, after finishing this meal, I came to the conclusion that — I’m glad I didn’t pay full price for this meal. It was on par to Outback IMO. Second, I’m glad my parents decided not to join us for their first experience to DF. Third, my last meal there was my best and DF made MY b day special and since they didn’t even acknowledge my daughters b day though mentioned in the reservation, I doubt highly I will be going back in the near future. Lastly, I feel that Queens Feast is a time for local Charlotte restaurants to shine. Not feed the herd like cruise ships. Also, they should make the same impression as they would on during a full price meal so that the patron will come back and spend the money for your meal and price point. Every experience should count.

We dined here for the first time during Restaurant Week. I am well aware that often you do not get the full experience of a restaurant during the Queens Feast but I would say we were pretty blown away! We got a last minute reservation, came in and only waited for 5 mins. We were seated upstairs with a great little table«with a view». We had a team of servers that took great care of us.(Special shout out to Scott who was super friendly!) We each ordered from the Queens Feast menu which we have been pressured at other restaurant’s to feel like that isnt spending enough but not here! My date had the Prime Ribeye steak. I ordered the Filet Oscar style. Our steaks were cooked to perfection. We indulged in a bottle of wine, Trefethen Double T, which was opened by the house sommelier. I did spot the dessert I ordered being delivered to the table next to me and notices that it had nuts on it. The menu didnt list this and I am very allergic. The server offered me sorbet in place of it. I was slightly disappointed that the menu didnt say pecan crusted because that is a very common allergy. I so suggest that they add that to the menu from now on! We didnt feel rushed in anyway. We toom our time to enjoy our wine. The atmosphere was wonderful and even with a packed restaurant it wasnt too loud! We will return for sure :)

We had such a great meal last night! It was my first time, the place is awesome. Excellent service!!! Maggie I think was our waitress, she did such a nice job! We sat upstairs it was quite and beautifully decorated for Christmas. We had AMAZING calamari to start! And their wedge salad was I had the scallops, didn’t care for the sauce but they were cooked to perfection. He had the medallions and loved them. He loved the potatoes augratin(I don’t do bacon and they are cooked with that) we had a side of mushrooms too which were delicious! Oh let’s not forget the sesame bread!!! YUM And we finished with mango sorbet which was the best I’ve ever had! Great for special occasions. Too fancy for everyday but date nights or celebrations it’s perfect!!! They even have an event room in the basement that would be great for a get together or holiday party!

Always a great choice! We go for our anniversary because it’s our favorite spot. It was super crowded tonight and despite having reservations, we had to wait what felt like forever. The hostesses were apologetic and offered us drinks for the extended wait. Once seated, we ordered our first round of drinks. Before we could order an appetizer, a well-dressed gentleman approached our table and asked a favor of us. To our surprise, we were asked to change tables to accommodate a large Christmas party. We were offered unlimited appetizers and desserts if we accepted. Who would decline free crab cakes and tuna tartare for free at Del Frisco? After moving, we were warmly greeted by our new server who was excellent. We enjoyed appetizers and drinks and placed our order. For me, a wedge and a strip steak oscar style. For hubby, a wedge and a strip steak with bacon and blue cheese crumbles. We chose broccoli and corn as our shared sides. Our steaks were cooked to perfection, as always. Everything was delicious! We were too stuffed to enjoy our complimentary lemon cake but had it boxed to go. Well worth the wait…

Years later I am back from California again and living in the QC. I still love this place but even though I live in the building next door to it I don’t get to drop in here as much because all my friends live and work farther away now. Sad face. However, two years in a row it’s been a little tradition to bring my Mom to their Thanksgiving dinner since I have been back. She loves not having to cook and I love being able to have DF Cabernet and the Del Salad with avocado dressing and of course my fave lemon cake! It’s win/win. She loves their full 3 course turkey dinner with all the trimmings including starting with a nice butternut squash soup and ending with the choice of pumpkin pie cheesecake or pecan pie. She says it’s great. Service as always was top level. I am always surprised how busy they are on this holiday. I guess a lot of people don’t do the traditional thing or celebrate it or prefer just not to cook and clean up. Any other night of the year though this place is awesome as well.

An excellent experience all around! I was a regular at Del Frisco’s when I lived in Fort Worth, so I was excited to give the Charlotte location a try. Our group was very happy that we did. After some fantastic appetizers consisting of crab cakes and oysters on the half shell, I went with the long bone wagyu ribeye. Fantastic! The sides disappeared quickly too among the group. Au gratin potatoes, loaded creamed spinach, mushrooms, and lobster mac were all amazing. Dessert? Yes please! I think we ordered at least one of everything and shared. Overall, give Del Frisco’s a try for a nice group dinner or special occasion. Service was excellent and attentive. It took a team effort for our group and they were great.

«Words are just words when written but STEAK is DARN good when eaten» by BianKa Milton(ME) I’m a pescaterian so I don’t eat any meat other than seafood however while pregnant I did enjoy a filet here(during restaurant week 2014) and it was DARNGOOD. I’ve returned on two separate occasions and was impressed by my other tryings. I just ate here during restaurant week 2015(I’m from Chicago so we call it restaurant week, however here it’s call Queens Fest) and indulged in a great salad, a perfectly prepared salmon filet and enhanced my salmon for $ 10 to Oscar style(Lump crab and asparagus with yellow sauce which has a name but I can’t think of the proper spelling so I won’t attempt it). The dessert was the highlight of my evening. I indulged in a banana bread pudding the only downside of this was the fact that there was no ICECREAM offered. I was so SAD about this as that would’ve made the dessert PERFECT, instead it was GOOD and a couple of points away from PERFECT. Since I’ve had dinner here several times my rating is based on overall experience from eating to drinking to hostess experience. Be prepared to spend a pretty penny if you don’t go during restaurant week.

Del Frisco’s will always be an above average dining experience, but this particular location never disappoints. It’s convenient location makes dining an easy ritual after a day of shopping at SouthPark. From my experience, it’s best to make reservations. I’ve almost starved waiting during«high volume times» lol. Their lobster tails are huge, tender, fresh, and cook to perfection. Pricey for a normal dinner, but definitely worth sharing for special occasions. The filet and ribeye are great, and the salmon on the menu is great. The special I had this weekend was less favorable, but still good. Crab cake has virtually no breading. I’m not even joking when I say the wedge is noteworthy(I know it sounds retarded to mention, but seriously. I think it’s their blue cheese dressing I’m in love with). They have family style sides, so show you care… share. Additional thoughts: –I’m not crazy about the creamed corn; it’s a little bland compared to others I’ve tried. –The sweet potato casserole is a must! –The spinach is creamed, so for those carb conscious diners like myself should get the asparagus. –If you start on the bread you probably will never stop. –Crème brûlée is **white chocolate**(OMG) –PRIMEPAIR is an AMAZING deal, but theres significant up charges for some substitutions. Oh, and the wait staff is a hit or miss, and the floor has been a little slippery at times so be mindful of footwear. Ladies parts of the Barclay Downs shopping plaza is also hard to walk through in heels.

This is my third time visiting(bar area only). Bartenders are friendly and knowledgable and fast. There is plenty of staff nearby to take care of anything you need. I’ve had the pimento cakes — I cannot keep away from cheese and grits! — and this time lamb sliders. Great wines by the glass, a little in the pricey but worth it. I’d like to see more craft brews but still a good selection of beers. The lamb sliders were perfectly seasoned and accented with I think goat cheese but I swear said tzaziki sauce on the menu in a yummy soft yet crunchy where it needs to be little bun. The bar seats are actually comfortable. I can’t stand wooden chairs or stools with no backs. A couple TVs showing sports and HUGE windows to enjoy the Piedmont Row view.

All I can say is WOW! Del Frisco’s Double Eagle Steak House is one great spot! It’s located in South Park in the Piedmont Town Center. We arrived on a busy Friday night to celebrate our 5th wedding anniversary. We were seated right away and was given a nice card wishing us a happy anniversary — Nice touch! We decided to forgo appetizers because we knew we were going to double up on some side dishes. I chose the salmon and my husband chose the shrimp scampi with pasta. Both of our entrees were great — cooked perfectly. And the shrimp in scampi with pasta were gigantic! Now for our side dishes — we had the onion rings and the lobster mac and cheese. Those two sides alone could make a meal! The onion rings were down right huge! They were crisp and hot. And the lobster mac and cheese is the best in my opinion… creamy and oh so decadent. with chunks of lobster — tails too, not just claws! The service was very attentive and friendly. They treated us to a dessert for our anniversary and we chose the special butter cake with butter pecan ice cream. Oh my! That butter cake needs to be a permanent fixture on the menu. We’ll be back — even just for onion rings at the bar!

We scored Friday night reservations during Restaurant Week. As expected the place was packed but we only had to wait about 10 minutes for our table. The hostess was kind and quickly escorted us to our table in the wine cellar. It was a very nice space, but because it’s so small it can tend to get very loud. However, our waiter arrived and was exceptional! He paid very close attention to our needs and offered great suggestions after we told him it was our first time dining there. I started with the VIP Pineapple martini and it was delicious. Just the right amount if pineapple to compliment the liquor. For my salad I chose the Spring Mix which comes topped with blue cheese crumbles, onions and balsamic dressing. For my meal I ordered the Filet which come with the standard château potatoes and for dessert the cheesecake. The filet was cooked as requested, very tender and well seasoned. The potatoes were a nice compliment. The cheesecake was classic and delicious. I’d definitely return to try some other menu options… and to try the lemon cake… I hear it’s amazing!!!
