Don Milo is actually located inside of Compare Foods, and is one of the things that makes this a worthwhile stop. The cool thing is that they are something of a cafeteria line, with hot(well, warmish) trays so you can see what you are ordering. There are also menu boards overhead, but the descriptions are not that great. What could be a good thing is the authenticity of the cooks — unfortunately if you do not speak particularly good Spanish, then you probably will not be able to make much sense of the menu boards, or be able to communicate very well with the staff, so there is bound to be a lot of pointing at picture overhead or items in the steam tables. Maybe both, and even some grabbing of the people next to you in line to help. Try to grab a person smaller than you if possible. Regardless, the food overall is generally fresh, but it is mostly pre-prepared. There are some dishes that you can order that they will fix for you, so those would likely be even more so, but you are going to have to wait. That is not a bad thing, you will just have to hold up the line or hope they can find you again. Probably better to grab your food and plop down at the tables they have set up for your eating pleasure. Definitely something to be enjoyed, and very much something you do not expect to see in a grocery store. At least not in this country.
