Dry Clean City

I have no complaints. My items were satisfactorily cleaned. Prices certainly can’t be beat. Service is good. I took a comforter back twice, but they made it good to my satisfaction.

While I previously advised it’s best to take things here that you could wash at home, if you have something that actually NEEDS dry cleaning because it is stained or dirty, do not come here. It will look the exact same if not worse when you get it back.

Disgusting and unsanitary. I was in the Charlotte area for an extended business trip, I dropped off my clothes at this location on Sugar Creek Rd. in Charlotte, and picked them up the following Friday. There was an unusual smell in the building which I attributed to maybe dirty clothes.
The following Monday, when I opened the bag of clothing to get dressed, I noticed a STENCH. Not just a slight smell, but an extremely unpleasant odor that pervaded my entire hotel room. It smelled like a wet dog, mixed with body odor.
I called the store, and asked what was wrong, and they said there was a ‘filter problem’. I then spoke to the owner, apparently this Silas character, and he informed that another party had brought in contaminated clothing, and subsequently contaminated everyone else’s clothing in the store.
I have a few problems with this namely, they KNOWINGLY GAVE ME CONTAMINATED CLOTHING without warning me or giving any notice whatsoever. Their excuse was that they did not know there was an issue until much later, and some persons had picked up their clothes. This is a lie since I picked up my clothes very late in the day. Furthermore, the odor was extremely prevalent, and anyone with any intelligence could tell that something was wrong. Additionally, even if I did pick up my clothes AND they did not notice, they still had my phone number that I gave them when I dropped them off, which they could have called me at any point and warned me. Did the do so? No. They did not even refund my money or offer me any form of compensation.
Since it was a Monday morning, and since I had packed somewhat lightly, I had no choice but to WEAR CLOTHING CONTAMINATED WITH SOMEONE ELSE’S FILTH. Even worse, whatever was on these clothes made me itch like crazy.
I was horrified to know that people I had never met, and would probably not meet face to face for a long time would remember me as ‘that guy that stinks’. My suit jacket still stinks to this day, and I cannot wear it.
I am thoroughly disgusted with this business, they put my health and well being and my professional reputation in jeopardy. They knowingly provided an unsanitary product, and ruined my clothing. Avoid this business at all costs!

YES, it was the Charlotte location. Some people, like myself, move out of NC.

These guys ROCK! We’ve been going here since they opened and the staff has been more than helpful! We use them for everything — clothes, comforters and, just recently, a wedding dress and can’t recommend them highly enough!
