Dupp & Swat is truly a cultural hub, unpretentious and accessible, this is like a home away from home. You can shop(local), attend a variety of cool events, partake of myriad styling & beauty services or just peruse randomly while interacting with other patrons. It’s more than a boutique or creative studio, it’s a place to just«be.»

Beyond all the locally made clothing, art and jewelry, Dupp&swat hosts some banging party series like«I’m an Artist, Dammit» where you get exposed to some(surprise) talented emerging musicians. Then there’s the owner, herself a nationally in-demand stylist who can casually guide you toward looking like the superhero you are on the inside. This is one of the best boutiques(and best-kept secrets) in Charlotte for a reason.

What a serendipitous moment … exploring after my first visit to Amelie’s in NODA, I suddenly realized my group of seven was now a group of one — me. The others had disappeared into a shop they discovered across the atrium from Amelie’s. We had so much fun exploring the shop, trying things on, and«oohing» and«aahing» over the eclectic mix of accessories, clothing and home décor. Our group bought two pair of funky sunglasses, a blingy retro bracelet, and a unique clutch purse. We will definitely visit often to see what new items the sister and brother shop owners have added to their shop. BTW, the prices are very reasonable!
