First Citizens

I opened an account at this branch about 2 years ago. I was a previous Wachovia customer but I felt like I wasn’t receiving good customer service and it was very impersonal. Being from the North, I hadn’t heard a lot about First Citizens but decided to give it a whirl since it was convenient to my apartment.
I am so happy I decided to make the switch. The branch managers and tellers are so friendly. In addition to the daily good service, I really put them to the test when my purse was stolen and my checks AND debit card were taken. I had several fraudulent charges and I was in quite a panic. The bank immediately replaced the fund, gave me a new checking account and even called days later to make sure my case was handled to my satisfaction. They provided top notch service during a very stressful time.
For a local banking experience, I give it A+. The only reason I didn’t give 5 stars is because:
a) I’m stingy with my 5 star ratings
b) They do not have locations outside of the South. I often go to NY and cannot deposit funds.
c) They are not as up to date with technology such as BofA who has phone apps where you can take pictures of checks for deposits.
I recommend this bank, and this particular branch :)
