We held my daughter’s wedding reception here. Great atmosphere. Friendly staff. Great views of The Queen City. Highly recommend for your event.

Great museum, and even better event venue! Had the chance to attend a wedding there this past weekend, and WOW. The views are insane, the artwork is an awesome thing to tour during cocktail hour, and the rooftop ‘Living Wall’ couldn’t be a better place for pictures! This is a great way to kill an hour or two browsing, or a night dancing away at a wedding!

Delightful FREE museum in the heart of the busy financial Tryon Street. Simply sign in at the guest book at the front reception desk, and you can take as much time as you need. The Foundation of the Carolinas, I recently discovered thanks to Rod O., use to be the home of The Mint. The small museum now houses blown glass, sculpture, some mixed media and oil painting; public access is only granted on the first floor currently. Perusing the first floor gallery shouldn’t take more then twenty minutes, so it’s definitely a short stop, but great if you enjoy the beauty in art or need to find somewhere to escape a hot day. The building itself has spaces on the top floor that artists rent out as well as conference rooms. The architecture is lovely, with beautiful sculptures adorning the top of the outside of the building. They have the BIGGEST cat painting I have ever seen, and even have some of Dale Chihuly’s amazing blown glass work. Truly a treat for any local or tourist alike.

We had our 2014 holiday party at the Foundation For the Carolinas. They had complimentary valet parking, which was a breeze once we fought our way through the traffic. Once in the building the first floor had a variety of art work, the bowls closest to the stairs were what was donated from UTC Aerospace Systems. On the second floor was conference rooms and a dessert table, as well as a sitting area. You have to take the elevator to the fourth floor, but there was an outdoor section which was pretty neat and then an empty room where we sat to eat/over look the city through the outside bar. Five Stars! Ill be back.

I was in here looking at their rental spaces for an event next year. The downstairs gallery is beautiful! When I was there multiple art pieces and items were on display. Just gorgeous. They have a number of event spaces in case you are looking for your next corporate or private event. Competitive pricing and they even have an Event PROFESSOR on staff! Lol! How do I get this job? Very helpful folks and clean nice spaces. I will definitely think about doing an event here. Thanks guys!
