Veronica is awesome, she takes the time to really listen to what you want and what your ultimate hair goal is (growth, healthy hair, color). From day on Veronica has provided a wonderful experience, she is always ready and her contagious smile turns any gray day right side up. You will not be wrong with choosing Veronica to cut or trim your tresses!

1^st time at Fresh Salon. Dustin cut my hair and did a fabulous job. I have already referred him to 2 people after receiving compliments after my hair cut! I will be back!

This salon is very beautiful and the people are polite. I have biracial curly coarse hair. I would not recommend this salon for those who have my hair type. They didn’t quite know what to do with it. My stylist brushed out my hair after washing it for the second time, which anyone who knows curls knows that’s a no no. She couldn’t get my curls to form at all but instead of just straightening it for me or at least using a diffuser and drying my hair, I walked out looking quite wet and disheveled. I understand that my hair is difficult and I do not expect everyone to know how to style it especially when they work mainly with fine hair, but when I called the salon I asked for someone who was familiar with mixed hair, because I know it takes a very specific skill set to deal with it. I was misinformed. This salon specializes in Caucasian hair and that’s what they should claim. If you don’t know how to do mixed hair, just say so. Honesty is better than misinformation that resulted in my walking out of the salon looking like a wet frizz ball. It was quite disappointing. I wish I had just went to an African American salon. Honestly. If you have Caucasian hair, this review is irrelevant, because the salon itself is very clean and pleasant. If you are biracial or have coarse curls, I would simply keep looking. It’s not their expertise.

I’ve been going to Fresh Salon since they opened at the Promenade. The service and atmosphere is excellent. The shop is bright, modern and sparklingly clean. Their talented stylists are courteous and professional. Emily and Adreena are my personal favorites, but I’ve seen nothing but top quality from the rest of the staff as well. I love the quick and easy appointment reminder email, where with two clicks, I can confirm my appointment. Best of all: I have never gotten so many compliments on my hair!

2^nd time going to Crystal –she was great. This not a leather couches/​lemon water, pampering atmosphere type salon, like Planet 21 in Arboretum. It is located in the center of the Promenade on Providence strip mall and my haircut was $ 10 higher– then Planet 21. However, I like will take it since Crystal is always on time and doesn’t make a lot of small talk that extends your appt. for hours! Time is money for the customer too-​I get out of here in under an hour-​cut only-​long hair.

I have thick curly hair that no one can manage and Veronica does a fantastic job! The salon is nice, clean, they offer water or wine so you can relax a little. Hours are favorable to working professionals. And for the most part, the staff is super professional. I wish they were closer to me! I drive 35 minutes one way just to get my hair cut! That should tell you something… When you find one that works you never let them go!

I’m a man. Got a simple quiff like haircut, and it cost me $ 60… not sure I’m happy about that after I was told over the phone it was going to cost me $ 40. They did give me a glass of wine, shampoo/​conditioning, and trimmed my beard, but I was told the $ 40 covered all of that. Apparently not, after I went to the front they checked me out at $ 52 and then add the tip and I left with a haircut for $ 60… at sport clips I could get a haircut, head massage, no wine though for $ 22 bucks… seems wonky.

I have been going to Fresh salon for a while now and my wonderful stylist is Dustin. I have never had a better haircut and style than from him. I have extremely curly hair and he has been the only person to cut it with perfection and makes it to where I love to wear it down. If we ever have even the smallest thing to change with volume, etc., we communicate about it and it’s fixed. The products for curly hair are also fabulous, leaving my hair free of fuzz, soft, and bouncy without being crunchy. Wonderful staff with always friendly greetings at the front desk. Without fail there are offerings of water, soda, wine, tea, etc. while waiting for appointment to start. Love it! Would suggest anyone to Fresh!

Love love Fresh. It’s an awesome salon. Julia usually does my color but I’ve tried a few others too… Tana was awesome, Jose was great. Tia and Emily both do my cuts. Love Jen for an evening style. It’s great knowing that every stylist in there is awesome and I can switch around if I want. You never wait and always professional.

One of the managers from the Salon contacted me yesterday to follow up regarding my visit and kindly offered a complimentary color service with a more experienced stylist to fix my hair. While I appreciate the kind offer I know what is involved in stripping the color from my hair and don’t want to risk any further damage. She then requested that I come in so they could take a look at it in person to learn from the mistake. I declined, as I wouldn’t feel comfortable returning, however I can appreciate their willingness to grow and learn from mistakes. It happens, we’re human. I still really hate the color and won’t be returning to the salon, but I am glad that they reached out to me to try to make it right.

Customer service is extremely important to me, so when I receive excellent service, it’s worth writing about it. Amanda has been cutting my hair for years, not only is she an excellent stylist, she is friendly and listens to me when I want to try something new. I have NEVER left her chair disappointed and I am pretty picky!!! I have had complete strangers (no joke) comment on how great my hair cut looks.
As for color, I can’t say enough about Jen. She is a fantastic colorist, hands down!!! She knows her stuff, from the color that best suits my skin tone– to special care she takes to keep my hair healthy.
There is no pretense at this salon, just «down to earth» professionals who excel at their work.

I’ve had my hair done in NYC, Paris and even London. But my color has NEVER lasted as long or looked so good as when I’ve had it done by Jose !
Highly recommend by this hard to please customer !!!

I would not recommend this place for color at all!
I made the mistake to go there following the previous reviews, there must be two Jenifers, because the one that took me had absolute no experience on how to color hair (I should have walked out the minute I noticed her asking for advise to her co-​workers) after I explained my fears she assured me that it would be OK and she had 10 years of experience… well, exactly what I feared happened! The color washed orange! I went back for color correction they assigned me to Jose, and now I have a horrible 2 shades of maroon washing off into pink!
So disappointed! Do not go to this place, it’s not at all what their website is set to be and I am not sure what the previous reviews are based on.

Long story short, I got a terrrrrrrrible dye job at a salon in my new city of Atanta. Terrible as in wicked-​witch-​of-​the-​west-​terrible. I knew I couldn’t walk around looking like a wackjob forever so who did I call to save the day? Fresh Salon.
I asked for my favorite stylist Jen who had done my hair previously when I lived in Charlotte. However I was told she was getting married and would not be there. (congrats, Jen!) They recommended Kaia for this delightful job. Thank God for Kaia!
We had a thorough and honest consultation about realistic expectations for my hair. Obviously we wanted to preserve the health of my hair and work on extracting the god awful dye that was killing my soul and my vibe. She did a color correction, highlights and toner today and friends, let me tell you, I am blown away by the results. My hair looks awesome, still feels healthy, and is attractive once again. Sure, it took 3 hours, wasn’t cheap, and my scalp is sore but considering how important hair is, it’s well worth it. I cannot impress enough how grateful I am to Fresh. Not only is Kaia a miracle worker, but the gals who booked my appt and I checked out with are sweet as can be. I encourage anyone looking for a quality, classy and talented salon, please check out Fresh.

I went in this morning, they squeezed me in for an afternoon cut and Tia saved me! I’m new in town and wasn’t sure what to think, but the reception was warm and welcoming and atmosphere is modern and clean. My hair was a mess, Tia did a great job on the cut. Gave me a few pointers and tips and some new things to try on my next visit. I’m so happy I’ve found a salon in my new city that I love! Can’t wait to come back.

Tia is my hair hero. I’m new to NC from AZ and have had a tough time finding a good haircut. I have worked in Salons before and even contemplated a career in Hair at one time so I understand I am a bit more discerning than most. That is all the more reason to take my word for it, Tia is a Hair Hero!!!

Veronica C is great! I’ve been seeing her since the business opened. Staff is also very nice and welcoming. And, best part… always on time. Nothing like a late appointment!

The owner of the salon reached out to me after seeing my last review and graciously offered me a re-​do — a complimentary cut and color. The salon manager called me promptly to arrange an appointment and see how they could make me happy.
I am very pleased with the new results. The colorist, Ehron gave me subtle natural-​looking highlights and a more flattering base color. Tia, the stylist, accommodated my request for a minor trim and just cleaned up the overall line so that I could grow it out more. The manager also sought me out during my appointment to ensure that everything was going well.
I want to acknowledge Fresh for taking proactive steps to ensure a satisfactory experience for their clients. I often see businesses claim that they strive to exceed customer’s expectations, but few actually deliver on that claim. Fresh made a coordinated and professional effort to turn around my perception. Well done!
