Even if you have tasty food and cordial staff if the management is piss poor that can be the game changer. I scheduled to have a business meeting that included a slide show presentation at FreshWaters. I confirm an hour time with the owner Sharon. The day before she calls to inform me that she ask had a musician and singer coming at the same time. Helping her to understand that the two events would not work in the same place considering both would require a respectful level of attentiveness, she acknowledged and agreed that her music could start later and she would consider taking a lost because she was paying them. Why would she book a live band, in the same room, during the same time behooves me. More disturbing she, the owner, informs me of her erroneous actions the day before my meeting. What has disturb me most and has confirmed a conclusion that the owners, the musician and the singer are discourteous disrespectful rude unprofessional and lack genuine service rapport is that Sharon instructed the musician to start playing music WHILETHEVPOFMYCOMPANYWASSPEAKING. MOSTJUVENILEWASTHATTHEYPROCEEDEDTOTURNTHEVOLUMEUPWHILETHEVICEPRESIDENTWASFOREFUKLYWRAPPINGUP! What level of ignorance would force you to cause such embarrassment on my company and degrade your own business. Those 3 – 4 who ordered while listening to the first 20 minutes were regretful. The other 17 of us REFUSETOEVENDRINKTHEWATER. I must add that the restaurant only welcomed 2 other people there to listen to this duo act! So who were they rushing to play for. Had we not been there the place would have basically been empty. I’d eat at a hole in the wall with great food before I allow some fancy presented building managed by an ill-mannered owner disburse her bounderish actions to me and my guest again. I left without even saying good bye or thanking her… but IMBIGGERANDBETTER… so I returned and thanked her anyway!

The old Simmon’s is now Freshwaters and they have completely renovated the location with lots of lovely art and music and it’s absolutely beautiful. I stopped by for lunch but they were only serving dinner… weird…but ok. I tried the catfish fish fritters and crab cake and both were well seasoned and very tasty. The crab cake was all crab… awesome:-) I didn’t eat in, but looking forward to going back.
