Greenleafe Inn

NO STARS! This hotel is extremely run down and dirty. The sheets were not clean. The door and air were broken. The mattress looked like someone had been murdered on the underside. The floor looked like it has not been vacuumed in weeks and I stepped on a nail sticking up through the carpet. The booking site we used would not let us change our hotel and with the events going on in town we really had no choice but, to stay there. I do not understand why a place like this is even available through any booking sites. It seems pretty shady to book people somewhere that is obviously a hub for drug activity in the parking lot at all hours of the night. Would not recommend this place to anyone ever. SOMEBODY CALL THE HEALTH DEPARTMENT!

NO STARS because COCKROACHES, in the bed, on the wallls. We booked through
and what a mistake. The first room we were checked into the lock was broken and ranked of cigarette smoke, even though it was non-​smoking, so they switch us to the room next door. This room had cockroaches on the bed, when my boyfriend went to complain and attempt to get some of our money back from the 2 day reservation, the manager refused because he had switched our room because of their broken lock, absolutely irrelevant. More cockroaches show up on the walls and in the carpet.

Do not stay here under any circumstances. The hotel specifies that you should call ahead if you’re going to be arriving after hours. I called the front desk early in the afternoon and got confirmation that we could arrive 15 minutes after their closing time. The woman that I spoke to was sweet and assured us that it’d be ok. I then called around 11pm to confirm that our plans were still good, and was told by the male manager that not only did they have no record of my call, but that under no circumstances would they wait 15 minutes after closing for us to get there. This is after we’ve paid them. So I asked for a refund, and they said they wouldn’t refund me because there wasn’t 24 hours notice!!! Meanwhile, the hotel manager was being flippant and accused me of lying that I’d called in the first place. He claimed that they had no female receptions on their staff!!! When expedia called to get a refund, a female manager answered the phone and said that they had no male managers on their staff!!! Unbelievable! I fully intend to pursue legal action against this hotel if this matter is not resolved soon.

This is not the nicest hotel in the world nor is it up to date with nice tvs. Sometimes even some of the appliances don’t even work. But it has never been horrible cleanliness wise and that’s my main priority when staying in a hotel. I’ve never seen a bug here. The price can’t be beat for the location you’re in. This is usually the place I stay at when I visit Charlotte for an extended stay as it is the cheapest around I have seen. One time the hotel did try to go up over $ 200 on me for the next night because some basketball game was in town. This was a little ridiculous because I had called in advance for all my rooms.
