Worst internet I have ever had… We live on Lake Norman with a perfect clear view and should have no problem… Can’t watch small video clips, movies or anything thing like that. My bill jumps from $ 110 to $ 175… Really??? Horrible, and I mean horrible service… The old school dial up is way better than these providers… What a joke Hughes Net is…

Worst service provider ever. Horrible customer service. If you want the worlds slowest internet then this is the company for you. Their service agreement allows them to charge you $ 300 upon cancellation and you have to climb the roof to get the radio transmitter off of the satellite to return to them along with the router or else you will be charged another $ 300 on top of that. Don’t expect upload or download speeds reaching even half of the speed that they quote you when you sign up. Forget using Netflix. One movie will put you either near or over your data allowance for the month. Yes, they cap your data use. Trust me, go with another DSL or cable service provider instead of Hughsnet. They are a complete nightmare to deal with. For all of the horribleness of their service they are also the most expensive provider charging me over $ 90 a month. What a deal eh? Make sure to dispute the cancellation fee with your credit card company. They can reverse the charge for you since they failed to provide the services/​speeds promised.

Hughesnet service has been satisfactory so far. The price was fair for the package. Not as spotty as Clear
