My fiancé and I decided to purchase a conflict-free diamond simulant because #1 I didn’t want to support the diamond industry #2 I thought it was silly to spend $ 10,000+ on a ring… We explored many options & definitely stayed away from CZ because CZ doesn’t last a lifetime. I went into Kay’s to see if they could resize my ring since I had lost weight recently & my finger was smaller than when we became engaged. I do not hide the fact that I do not have a «real» mined from the earth diamond and explained I have a diamond simulant, but it wasn’t CZ. When I approached the two ladies who worked there and explained my situation, they immediately brushed me off. Eventually they took my ring and commented on how it was CZ. They said they can’t resize it because«It wasn’t a real diamond.» The way they handled that was unprofessional since they could have simply said, «Because this is not an earth-mined diamond, it will be difficult to resize since heat is required for resizing and diamond simulants may not be able to handle the heat.» They then told me to go to a «strip-mall Quick Fix» to get a ring«like that» resized. I was deeply offended at the way they treated me as a customer.

Had to get a battery replaced in my watch. Only had an hour to run errands at the mall. Strategically planning, I was able to get my errands completed in one section and Kay Jewelers happened to make the cut. Fifteen dollars and 10 or so minutes later, my watch was back up and running. In that 10 minutes the employee did his best to get me to sign up for their credit card. With that I could have received my battery for free and a nice polishing of my watch to get it looking new. Although a nice presentation, I turned him down. Meanwhile I gazed at the shiny things under glass. *Starry-eyed* Good and fast service. Lots of pretty jewelry. Good location in the mall.
