Very cute salon great location. Allison cuts my hair she is amazing and soo sweet! Her work is very meticulous and I always appreciate her eye to details. I highly recommend her and she is worth the follow!

If you’re looking for a competent, seasoned professional stylist to cut, color and style your hair, you have finally found «the» place!!! It’s right next to the Common Market in South End — super cool location — the place looks like it’s carved right out of Manhattan — brick walls, great lighting, wood floors and high ceilings — loft style — and the stylists know what they are doing!!! I’ve seen all kinds of customer’s young guys, business men, wedding parties, young ladies and woman of all ages. This salon does it all — and I’ve been a repeat customer for years. Lanie is my stylist and there is not a more competent or gifted colorist and designer that I have ever experienced. You walk in feeling eh okay, kinda bleh, you walk out feeling like a million bucks — like a shot of espresso or two for the ego, I call it a self esteem booster!!! HIGHLY RECOMMEND — YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED!

I am a guy who is very critical of my haircuts. No one has ever been able to cut my hair the way I always want it. Until my girlfriend told me to come here I was going from barber to barber. Now it’s safe to say this place will never be able to get rid of me. Christina is amazing. I will never let anyone except for her cut my hair again. But the biggest plus about this place is Common Market is next door and you can grab a beer while you get a cut. What guy doesn’t love that. A++ all the way around. Highly recommended for both men and women.

I have been going to KM & Company for years. I am always extremely happy with the results. Lanie is awesome! This past week they went beyond my expectations when Lanie was unavailable. Kelly, Karla, and Christina all worked to make sure that all my hair care needs were met! I do not know of any other business that would do this for a customer. By the way, I drive 45 miles to have my hair cut! That in itself should say something!

A friend of mine recommended Lainie at KM & Company and I finally went to see her.
I really appreciated the time she took and she definitely knows how to cut curly hair so that it stays curly. She stayed within my request not to lose much length.
I’m trying to grow my hair longer and it had been 6 months since my last haircut. She did a great job and although it may be 6 more months til my next haircut, I’ll definitely see Lainie again!
p. s. they share an entrance with The Common Market, so if you have some time to kill before your appointment you can always go in and enjoy a beverage!

Christina is awesome, sweet and chatty is a cute and funny sort of way. She listened to my hair complaints and made suggestions and adapted a hair cut I wanted to accommodate my curly and unruly hair. During my second visit, she again adjusted my cut as requested. The hair products are also great. This is a laid back salon where all the staff are helpful and happy to help you. Oh I’d be remiss if I didn’t mention the adopted bird «Bob», can’t forget him, he greets guest as they walk in. :)

Do yourself a favor and run, dont walk, to see Christina at KM and Company. After spending years of being super picky about who colors my hair, I went to Christina after falling in love with a friend’s hair color. Christina ended up taking me from a highlighted blonde mess to a beautiful dark brown, which I LOVE. I get compliments all the time on how natural it looks and how they cant believe I was ever a blonde. Christina is a color goddess and not only listens to what you want, but always is able to put her touch on things that you might not have thought of. Im moving to the west coast soon and at a complete loss with what I am going to do without her. The rest of the ladies at the salon are absolutely lovely and sweet and are always excited to see what we have done with my hair that time. So glad I found this salon!

In my 30 years on this planet, I’ve let under 5 stylists touch my hair. As long as I’m in Charlotte, Karla will be the only one to come close to my hair with a scissors. Not only is she sweet and conversational, she really knows what she’s doing. While cutting your hair, she gives you valuable tips and tricks to maintenance, styling, and general information about the characteristics of your hair.
Ladies, you know what I mean when I say that you know when it’s time for a cut. You hate your hair, nothing looks right, etc. Since switching to Karla, I no longer have that problem. She cuts my hair to make the grow out easy for styling. Weeks after my cut, I still love my hair!
What I value equally is the staff that surrounds Karla. All of her stylists that I’ve met are welcoming and very nice. You walk in to KM & Company and are hit with a positive vibe.
I know how hard it can be to switch to a new stylist but believe me when I tell you, you will not be disappointed by Karla and her KM & Company team!

Karla is absolutely the BEST hairdresser in town! She is personable and attentive while in her chair. As owner of the salon, she cares about her staff and ensures they are all learning new techniques and styles often. The salon is ecclectic and fun and always very clean! And being right beside The Common Market is just an added bonus!
