Ladies of Lineage

The women at Ladies of Lineage were so amazing! I came in and showed them a picture of what I wanted and they picked out a very similar dress — it was the only dress that I tried on and it was THE ONE! They were so personable, kind, and really tuned into what I wanted for my wedding day. I would highly recommend Ladies of Lineage!!!

SUPER nice and helpful! Very cute boutique but just limited selections. Very good shop if you’re looking for something simple, lacey, softer, vintage, etc. I wanted a lot of detail and sparkle so not a great shop for what I was looking for but they were very friendly and professional. I recommend this shop if you are looking for a simpler style of dress.

Ladies of Lineage was absolutely fantastic & I can’t say enough good about this boutique and the ladies who work there. From the very first contact I had with them, I knew this would be a special experience. When I first reached out to make an appointment, Natasha wrote me back with the warmest welcome– asked about my fiancé, wedding, budget, etc. She was so sweet and it made me look forward to my appointment even more. Elizabeth was my bridal consultant for my appointment and she was absolutely AMAZING. We had the entire boutique to ourselves and free reign to look at all the dresses on our own time. She made the appointment all about me, and not once made me feel rushed or stressed on a decision. Elizabeth picked dresses for me in styles that I said I wanted, and dresses that she thought would be a good pick for me totally outside of what I said I wanted… Of course, «the dress» ended up being Elizabeth’s pick that I would have NEVER picked out myself and will be forever thankful for her for that! :)
This is truly one of those bridal boutiques that wants to make this experience special for you and your friends and family. I had «the» moment, my mom had «the moment,» my best friend had «the moment.» It would not have been the same without Ladies of Lineage. Truly wonderful people, and beautiful (and affordable) dresses.

I can’t say enough for our great experience with Ladies of Lineage. What a relaxed, yet celebratory atmosphere for picking out my daughter’s gown. They heard well what she was interested in and created a combo look with a Theia gown and gorgeous tulle removable skirt. So she gets the art deco slinky look for the reception and the feminine, Lady of the day, look for the ceremony. It was so exciting to look ahead to cutting off her gown in the future to wear with a denim jacket at Jodene’s suggestion, too… The dress will live on. You honored our price point and made us feel at home. Keep up the great work. Tamea B.

Ladies of Lineage was fantastic. It has a very boutique-​y feel that makes you feel so great about that «say yes to the dress» moment. Anna was my bridal consultant and she was great! She made me feel very comfortable. She pulled something that I never thought would be my style but I LOVED it. She also was able to get the owner involved to give us a great deal.

It’s a smaller boutique, so some of the Rosa Clara dresses I was hoping to see weren’t in stock. But Natasha pointed me in the direction of a gorgeously simple Theia dress that was very close to being It. It was one that I would have never picked off the rack myself, but I ended up really liking it. If not for the fact that I wanted to change the sleeves in a way that probably wasn’t doable, and the fact that my mom felt that the dress was a little to, uh, curve-​hugging, I would have gone for it. I still sometimes wonder if I shouldn’t have stuck to my guns with the Theia, but that’s how it is when you’re a bride — in the end you can only pick one, and the other top contenders will sometimes haunt you after the fact! ;)
When I had questions about the dress, Natasha provided the necessary info to get in touch with the designer directly, which was great. Overall it was a really pleasant experience. The only downside was that their selection was more modest than what I had hoped for, and some of the dresses I was dying to see simply weren’t available. Be sure to call ahead to see what they have in stock if you have something in particular in mind. But they have a great eye for what a bride will look good in! Definitely worth a visit if you’re shopping for dresses in Charlotte.

I went to Ladies of Lineage with a friend to pick out her wedding dress — it was our third store and Natasha was by far the most helpful person we encountered. So when it was my turn, I went to see her first, looked a few more places (just to be complete) and then ended up right back at LOL where I found my dress! Natasha takes the time to listen to what you want then, amazingly, picks out exactly what works with your style and body type. The customer service is personalized and more than I could have asked for. All of the ladies at LOL made it an enjoyable experience!

I had an AMAZING experience at Ladies of Lineage! Natasha was extremely knowledgeable and helpful! They have a fantastic inventory of dresses and accessories. Natasha knew exactly what would look good on me! I had a big group accompanying me for this experience and Natasha really made it really enjoyable. I cannot thank her enough! I would definitely recommend Ladies of Lineage to all of the future brides out there!

As I sit here writing this review, I’m watching reruns of «Say Yes to the Dress» and in awe of all the beautiful gowns I see these brides-​to-​be trying on. However, I feel that none even come close to my gown and I have only one thought– that it’s more than just the store or the sales team. It’s everything in its entirety. Without one, do you really have it all? Ladies of Lineage is this bridal boutique for me. They not only have the dresses, and some beautiful dresses might I add, but the staff is impeccable. Natasha was there the day of my appointment to assist me and my family in choosing ‘the one.’
When I arrived at LoL, I’d already been to one other boutique and tried on at least twenty dresses, none of which I really liked, much less loved. So to say I was nervous was an understatement. But upon meeting Natasha I was instantly calmed. She listened to what I wanted, asked questions about my style as well as the wedding. She was superb at staying within my budget and not bringing any dresses outside of it. But it was the one gown, a Sassi Holford, that I instantly knew, would be MY dress. She spoke of pairing it with a belt, which I instantly shrugged off the idea of liking, and as soon as I saw what she had in mind– I knew she was the best of the best. I’d decided to go with the dress and belt #1, but then Natasha asked me to bear with her while she toyed with the idea of another belt– one that had glitz and glamour. I just knew I’d dislike it, because I’d specifically told her no rhinestones/​gemstones/​sparkles/​sequins. And this belt was just that. Full of sparkly goodness. She placed the belt around my waist and when I looked in the mirror I immediately begin to tear up, as this was my wedding dress, belt and all. It was classically simple, which I recall having told Natasha over and over again. I couldn’t imagine having gone anywhere else– nor did I receive near the caliber of customer service that I did there. I highly recommend these ladies as it takes more than just a dress, it takes a staff that cares enough about you and your idea of how your wedding will look.

No matter how exciting, looking for a wedding dress can be a stressful experience. Unless you regularly wear formal gowns (if so, you do you!) having a true pro on your side makes the critical difference. And for me, the expertise, hospitality, and fun at Ladies of Lineage helped to me relax, enjoy the process, and gleefully work through an incredible set of dresses.
Ultimately, I found the *perfect* dress for me within my budget, and I had one of the most positive experiences of my wedding planning process.

On Natasha
It doesn’t feel right to stop reviewing there. Natasha was simply the best, she was so smart and attentive. We chatted for about 10 minutes and she clearly wanted to understand my style and all of my dress needs. She helped me pull the set of dresses including several lovely options aligned with what I thought I wanted and a few styles that pushed me out of my comfort zone. Spoiler: it paid off big time to mix it up!
She kept things both fun and productive which is the way to my heart. Even when I was indecisive to make the jump and pick the (incredible) dress just outside of my comfort zone she humored me and let me walk around the shop in the dress until my mom’s eyes got watery and I knew we were done. She even grabbed her gorgeous flower arrangement out of its vase so that I could see the full effect of a bouquet with my dress. I never once felt pressured. And a few weeks later, I received a handwritten thank you note in the mail. Five stars!

This was the 5^th bridal salon I visited on my journey to find the perfect dress. Had I gone here first it might not have taken so long. From the start, Natasha was very much more hands on, helpful, and personable than anyone else my mom and I had dealt with. She asked from the very beginning what my budget was so she didn’t have me trying on and falling in love with dresses that were way out of my range. She pulled three dresses that fit my criteria, all of which I loved, and in those three was the winner. A few weeks after my purchase I also received the nicest handwritten thank you note for my purchase. If you’re looking for an excellent dress shopping experience, go to LOL!

The Ladies of Lineage provide excellent one on one customer service and know their products well. They have great patience and work within your budget.
The 3 stars however, are for their nickel and diming practice. I spent over $ 500 on bridal accessories and referred two customers who bought from Lineage and yet they still insisted on charging me a $ 15 shipping fee for items that did not arrive to their store until after I had moved from Charlotte.
This definitely left me with a bad overall feeling for the experience over a mere $ 15. Their expertise is great, but you will pay for it and are unlikely to be thanked for shopping at this small business rather than a large boutique or online.
