I’ve been pretty quiet on the Unilocal boards lately; the Husband and I haven’t been spending our money going out to eat at new places, since we’ve been saving our pennies up to buy a house! I have to say, I have nothing but love for Stephen McCabe( ) and his staff with Quail Hollow Financial for making the lengthy, messy, mind-boggling process of home-buying as stress-free as possible for his clients. When we first started contemplating a house purchase, our realtor encouraged us to meet with Steve to get a better idea of what we should be looking at. Steve instantly put us at ease, explaining everything that was new to us(a lot), answering every question(many), and running all of our financial details through the wringer to ensure that we knew exactly what we would be able to afford with no nasty surprises later on. When we found a house that we wanted to make an offer on, he was quick and clear in making sure we knew all of the documentation we needed to submit and when. We were thrilled with the interest rate he secured for us, but then he really went the extra mile in customer service by continuing to monitor the market and securing us an even *better* rate when the opportunity arose. Not everyone in the business would do that, and I think if we’d just moseyed on down to our bank to ask them for mortgage assistance, they certainly wouldn’t have been giving us such a personal and attentive experience. All in all, we were beyond grateful for everything Steve and his assistant did to help us navigate the murky waters of buying our first home. While they may just have been doing their jobs, they did it in such a way that we have no regrets, and would recommend their services without hesitation.
