WORST RENTAL AGENCY IN CHARLOTTE. They lie to you and tell you that a property is available so that they can keep collecting application fees on it. They are dishonest and you should save your $ 65 for something more pleasurable than getting screwed by this company.

Do not rent from these people! I’m writing this review in hopes that we can save at least one family from going through what we are going through right now. When we started renting though this company, we had a bad feeling about them. They NEVER answer their phone. Ever. If you leave a message there is a very slim chance that they will call you back. But anyway, getting to the reason that I’m writing this, we had a break-​in yesterday. I called them to try to get maintenance here to fix the door that was smashed to bits. Guess what? They didn’t answer. But this time they actually did call me back an hour later. (Keep in mind it was impossible to close the door, so we now have bugs flying around everywhere) I talked to the bland voiced woman and she never once showed even an ounce of care that we just had a robbery in the house that we rent from THEM. She called the maintenance guy and he showed up another hour and a half later. The maintenance guy was nice, but he doesn’t work for rubec, he works for the owner of the property. He fixed the door enough for us to close it for the night and he is coming back to do more extensive repairs. The worst part about all of this is that we thought we would be covered under the renters insurance that we also made the mistake of purchasing through rubec. Of course nothing is covered and we have to rebuild on our own. It would have been nice if at least one person with rubec had shown a little bit of remorse, but we didn’t even get that. Please don’t make the same mistake that we did.
