Came for grapes and beef smoked sausages. I received pretty respectable service. There’s not a tin of staff so getting go the general manager may be normal yet I was taken aback when he helped with a cheerful attitude; talked to his workers with respect and they all genuinely seem to like their jobs. Btw, this seems to be a Random find: double stuff oreos family size for $ 1.50. Gtfoh Parking lot is open and well lit. Down the street from Aldi’s. Literally 2 blocks from I-85. Several fast food restaurants nearby Security guard on premise.

Sav-A Lot is a cut rate grocery store. I was pleasantly surprised by the cleanliness of the store when I visited on Saturday(8⁄3). The selection was mostly off brand, but there are some name brand items offered. The produce was very fresh, with the standard fare available. The staff was friendly and helpful. They take credit card and offer grocery bags, unlike Aldi. Not a bad place, but not one I will visit on a regular basis.

Sav-a-Lot on Freedom Drive can be relatively inexpensive but it has lousy selection. If kool-aid, collard greens, weird pork products, and hamburger helper is your kind of thing, they’ve got plenty of that. Otherwise, Aldi, which is a similar type of store has much better selection in most areas. One area in which Sav-a-Lot is better than Aldi is that they have better produce and fresh meat. 44 cents for a green pepper out of season is a very good deal. other such deals exist. They also take credit cards, don’t charge a deposit on shopping carts, and do give you bags for free which make it a bit more convenient than ALDI. Not the best cheapo grocery I’ve seen but not the worst either.
