Studio Waverly

Waverly is simply one of the best hair pros that I’ve experienced, after living in Boston, NYC and DC. I have dark long, brown and straight hair and highlights (any color in general) tend to be orange or red, which I can do without. I explained carefully that I was looking for cool brown highlights to add dimension and visual interest whether I put my hair up in a ponytail or leave it down — but I’m obsessed with healthy hair and did not want to bleach any part of my hair or change its texture. She listened to my explanation without rushing me through my thoughts and then did just what I had envisioned. The way she interacted with my hair showed really experience and professionalism. I will definitely return. Whether blondes or brunettes have more fun is debatable, but, I will say that if you do have long, dark brown and straight hair like me, you will enjoy plenty of fun with Waverly’s help.

I went to Waverly for the very first time yesterday, and I was completely blown away! I get really nervous about who does my hair because I’ve had my fair share of disappointing hair appointments. Waverly exceeded all of my expectations! She listened to all of my concerns and exactly how I wanted my color. Waverly really took her time and never made me feel rushed. In the past I’ve told my stylists to just trim/​dust the very ends of my hair since I’m trying to grow it out. It never failed, that I walked away with 1 – 2 inches cut off every time. This is the first time I actually loved the trim. Waverly did a microtrim – just enough to give my hair a healthy look and the ability to grow longer. I have already gotten several compliments about how great my hair looks. I left the salon yesterday so happy and obsessed with my beautifully colored and styled hair! Go see Waverly and I promise you won’t be disappointed :)

HIGHLY recommend Waverly at Studio Waverly!!! She took my box dyed BLACK hair and turned it into a beautiful balayage brown… in only 2 visits! My hair feels healthier than before (with lightening this much I did NOT expect that). She also kept basically all of my length (I’m trying to grow it long) but reshaped the style to frame my face and compliment the new color dimension. If you’re looking for a stylist that is exceptionally talented at cut and color, and will listen to exactly what you want, go see Waverly! I’m also uploading a picture of my before, middle, and after (remember this was accomplished in 2 visits less than 2 weeks apart!)

I’ve gone to the same hair dresser for 6 yrs at a Charlotte high end salon. She did a good job overall but I never got that wow factor, like when looking at celebrity hair. One day I Googled the best hair color artist in Charlotte and found Waverly. It helped so much to see her Instagram posts so I could gauge her level of work in advance. I can honestly say Waverly gave me the wow factor I was looking for. It’s also a bonus that she has a flexible schedule and a great personality. I know it can be scary to switch stylists but I promise Waverly will not disappoint!

I am VERY picky about who does my hair… took me 5 years to replace my old stylist and I went through a lot of bad ones until I found Waverly. She does exactly what I ask and talks me through the process to make suggestions if I am asking for something unreasonable for my hair style. The best part: she didn’t chop off my length! I have very long hair and can’t stand it when stylists take off twice what I ask. Waverly was very conscious of my length and saving as much as possible while still getting rid of damage.
Bonus points: Waverly’s studio is beautiful! She clearly put a lot of time and thought into the design. It feels like a spa! She provides beverages and will change the music to your liking.

Waverly is the best hair stylist that I have ever been to. She is attentive and listens to your ideas/​concerns about your hair. She has taken me from ombré to a full highlight blonde and I loved it both ways. I have never been able to say I’ve loved my cut/​color after walking out of a salon but I always do when I go to Waverly. She has a lot of before/​after pictures on instagram @miss.waverly and they speak for themselves!

The most common question I get is, «who does your hair?» I’m always quick to respond Studio Waverly!!! Waverly has a natural talent for color and if you know me, you know I like to color my hair! She always really conditions my hair after treatments and you can purchase Kevin Murphy products! When I leave, I always love my hair. If you are looking for a new stylist or just a change, go check her out! It’s so relaxing to be in a space by yourself, it’s not noisy like being in a salon, it’s just you and Waverly.
