I wish there were less stars to give this company. Setting up utilities is a hassle in itself. I did not expect trash to be so difficult. I left many many messages and filled out the form online. After 4 days without any word, I called again and left more messages, this time, I let it be known I was irritated, to not be able to get anyone on the phone for assistance. I was hung up on and told, «If I want service, go somewhere else». I asked politely but stern,” Sir, are you telling me to go elsewhere because I can not get anyone on the phone to return call?” I guess this is typical of 2015 work culture. People who should not have jobs are employed. Customer service is at an all time low.

I did’nt have any issues with Suburban prior to this week. Our trash was not picked up and I called immediately when I noticed that the trash was not picked up. Left them a detailed voicemail. Called them again the next morning and spoke with them and was told they would send someone out to pick up the trash, however when i returned home, the trash was still there. It was’n’t until i sent them an email that the owner called. He was rude and said our trash bin was not out but it was. I was basically accused of lying and he was not willing to send anyone to pick up the trash and told to wait another week. Trash Stinks! who wants to keep the trash for 2 weeks? Customer service does not exist for this company. Just hope that your trash gets picked up so you don’t have to deal with them.

I’ve been happy with Suburban Sanitation for some time and haven’t had any complaints so far, but around the holidays this year, that changed. My bill is paid way in advance and when I called after New Year’s to find out when my trash was going to be picked up, after three weeks of trash not being picked up, the owner was exceptionally rude to me. They take away the trash most weeks and it’s a fair price — much lower than Waste Management — but just hope you don’t have to actually speak with them. It’s true that they’re a better alternative than Waste Management, but this guy seriously needs some lessons on how to speak to his paying customers.

Suburban Sanitation made the transfer easy from another local trash collector. They are always timely and it seems like they work tirelessly to make sure their customers are taken care of. I needed some bulky equipment and a television picked up. My old carrier would have charged extra for this. With Suburban, I didn’t even have to ask. I put it by the curb and it was taken care of(though they did say they like a bit of heads up for stuff like this, it is still included in the cost.) And as far as the cost goes, it is considerably cheaper than the competition.
