Updating my previous rating. Owner personally reached out to me to try and resolve the issue, which he seemed to resolve.

I have rented several properties before and this is the worst rental agency I have ever dealt with. Just like some of the other reviews have said if I could give them no stars or negative stars I would. I am renting a townhouse through T.R.Lawing from the property owner. EVERY SINGLE TIME we need a technician person to come out to look at a repair they have to ask the owner. Which is ridiculous to have to wait for that response. if I say my refrigerator is leaking or my washing machine is not working then its a no brainer someone needs to come look at it, why I have to wait for the owner to respond is stupid and wasting time on getting the repair done. on top of that since we are in complex there is a HOA committee and heaven forbid we are given any info form the HOA committee. I had to use my lunch break to drive all the way across town to pick up our pool key because it was too much for them to email me and tell me of the meeting they had at the beginning of summer where everyone could pick up their pool key at the pool. Same thing when our parking lots got sealed, we were not told until the DAY OF that this was being done and luckily I was at work and my car wasn’t towed from being left in the way. If there is an HOA committee as part of the complex it is T.R.Lawings responsibility to communicate all the info that is supposed to be going to people living on the property to us. I shouldn’t have to call asking how to get a pool key. I love the area I’m in so as soon as my lease is up I’ll be looking for somewhere else to live in the area and not renting through T.R.Lawing and I will be passing along how horrible they are to communicate with and work with.

Holy Bejeesus these people. Don’t even bother.
Okay, so my roommate and I are moving to Charlotte and we found a property listed on their website that we were interested in and called on the weekend to leave a message saying so. Our call wasn’t returned on Monday morning like the recording said it would be so we just went over to the office instead. When we checked out a set of keys from the KID at the counter, he mentioned that there was an application pending. We really liked the house so we were going to take our chances and check it out anyway. We payed our $ 20 deposit and gave a copy of one of our driver’s license, took the keys and went to the house. We drive across town in the torrential down pour and the keys don’t work and there is a u-​haul truck in front. We were so bummed out, thinking well I guess they already rented it, changed the locks, and the office just didn’t know. When we stopped for coffee around 1:30 to regroup we got the return call from a leasing agent who received our message –_​–
When we got back to the office to tell the KID what happened, he checked to see if it had been rented and informed us that their records show that it had not. So what the hell? He just gave us the wrong keys. He said wait here and I’ll get some more info. We waited 30 minutes before going back up to the counter only to find out that NO ONE was trying to figure out what happened. They were unapologetic about waisting our time. Didn’t really seem to care at all!!! Because we were so strongly interested in the house. We took another set of keys from them. The original ring had three but the new set we were given only had two. When I asked about it, I was made to feel stupid, like don’t worry about it. Turns out that key went to the garage and we couldn’t gain access later after returning to the house. grrrrr.
Finally, a few days later the house was still listed on their site. No mention of any application pending; however, you can still pay the $ 45 dollar application fee along with the $ 200 binder for it. Before I submitted this, I followed my gut and called them again to make sure it was still available, and guess what! IT WASN’T!!! Meaning, they just want to make money off of you and the non-​refundable application fee for a listing that was already rented.

Yvonne Fitzsimmons and Sallie Myrick were extremely helpful when my young adult moved to Charlotte, NC to attend school.
They worked with us long distance using Adobe Docuwriter allowing us to sign documents from home that allowed us to set up utilities without being in state. Yvonne contacted maintenance personnel and made sure we would have access to the apartment for a weekend move so that we would not have to take off work to come into the office to get keys for our move.
I am grateful for their kindness, outstanding customer service and their great communication with me and the landlord about anything concerning the unit.

If I could give them NO stars I would. They have been a terrible property management company to deal with, I’m the home owner using them to manage my property. I can never get anyone on the phone, our agent takes a week to return my calls and never follows instructions. I will be telling everyone I know not to use this company.
