Popcorn galore. It was good flavor, but had a stale texture as I worked my way through it. The 2 tasting limit when it’s clear the person is buying, pure poor marketing and customer service. I had said. I’ll take a medium Dill pickle and Salty Caramel… I asked about the Cheese cake… It was then the female staff should of just let me taste the damm popcorn considering I’m spending close to $ 20. 2 – 3 Kernels of popcorn may have sold another bag. Just not cool.

3*s for product and 2*s for customer service. We love popcorn! First-time here and it wasn’t a very welcoming experience to buy more. Clerks seemed bored/not wanting to be there. Also was warned of the very premium prices. Don’t mind paying for a very good product. In fact, have spent over $ 50 in gourmet popcorn from another shop. For these prices, I agree with other poster of desire for hot-pop for savory ones. Our savory tasted stale and something better than twist-tie cellophane would help. The sweets are good. Pros are lots of flavors and close to other shops.

I was so excited when this place opened at the Met! The popcorn is the bomb and the management is very friendly. I frequent the metropolitan area a lot and popcorn is one of my favorite things. Therefore, I was ready to review Tastebuds when they came on to the scene. First and foremost the management is amazing! I met the owner and he was very pleasant to talk to. I shared my love of popcorn with him all while he let me sample anything and everything I wanted. Believe it or not, but the dill pickle flavor is my favorite! The store itself is very clean and organized. I was told that they keep 50 flavors in the store at all times. These flavors are color coded by the types, which I think is a great idea. The types of popcorn they have are savory, candied, and chocolate. The prices are also different depending on the type, savory being the cheapest and personally my favorite kind. In my opinion a small bag for $ 5.00 is not bad! In addition, they offer a 10% discount to employee’s at the met. Score!

Tastebuds popcorn features a world of novelty popcorn, including cheese, candy coating, and peppers. The variety is great. However, I wish that they gave you a «hot pop» instead of pre made popcorn in a large container. I just think it would be better if you picked from a menu, they popped it, then shook it in the flavor you got. I realize that with some of them, like the chocolate corn, this would end up being messy and pointless. The problem is that it ends up being like the grocery store, big bag, popcorn and doesn’t have a fresh taste. It’s not bad however and the choices are endless. Things like dill pickle, sour lime, chocolate pomegranate, ghost pepper, etc. I commend them on their variety. If they had certain choices that came as a «hot pop», I would enjoy them even more.
