This place is dangerous, I watched the manager and his two henchmen bouncers jump a guy and his girlfriend. It was an altercation at the door. They would not let him in but said his girl could, very classy. Well they left unhappy and the guy spit on the window. I watched three grown men follow them and beat both the guy and the girl pretty bad. Also I was not thrown out, I see that this Brandon gentlemen has a total of 1 review on here. I wonder what made you jump to defend this bar considering that you are brand new to Unilocal. My previous review was erased, I’m guessing because I mentioned the assaulting managers name. This post does not.

This bar is a great place. I have read all of the previous posts regarding it and I want to adress some of the negative comments and then give my positive feedback. 1st. Most of the people who say the staff are rude were kicked out because they lack common decency and etiquette. The staff are human beings. They have stress and real world issues too. So coming in and acting like you have no common sense or manners is just an agitation. However, coming in and completely disrespecting the staff and the establishment is unacceptable. People seem to forget that the people working in this industry are human. Not only do they make mistakes occasionally, but they also have thoughts and feelings too. So a little courtesy goes a long way. 2nd. It is one of the only establishments I know of who will cut people off for their own safety. Many people here have gotten mad for being kicked out; just as many have been mad about over-serving. Everyone metabolizes alcohol differently. It it’s the bars discretion to determine if someone has had too much and if they need to go. Some people«play» sober better than others. If someone is cut off… they have gone above the call of duty to call cabs etc to take care of the people to intoxicated. 3rd. Tips. This is an industry based on tips. Some of the workers in bars make their money exclusively on tips. «So get a better job» is the most common response. To that I say this 1) most of these people have other jobs and need to supplement their income somehow. 2) ok if they all get«better» jobs, where will you drink? 3) if you want«cheap» drink prices, unlike Europe, keep costs low and the people employed! 4) in America, it is not only expected, but a common courtesy to tip the bar staff. 4th. Security. A lot of people take security for granted, but there are both legal and legitimate reasons for every security«issue». Just like the constant security changes at the airport due to threats and national security posture, so to, do bars need to adjust their security accordingly. Most people don’t know or care about the bars and clubs robbed every day or the staff who are attacked. But the bar and staff know it too well! So if they tell you to do something or not to do something it is for their and your’s safety. Which brings me to this. 90% of people have an excellent time here and it’s because they are responsible adults going out looking for a good time. As long as you act like a decent human being and treat others as you want to be treated you too will have an excellent time. Soooo many regulars and soooo many new folk love this place because it really does give you everything… except food… which is fine because there are at least 6 other places to eat in this awesome nieghborhood!

Fun bar to stop by on your night out in NoDa. Old arcade games, air hockey, billiards, and darts. On the weekends I’ve seen them have a DJ or live music. Drink specials and prices are about the same as every other bar on the block, but the are all reasonable. A small bar outside on the patio and up by the pool table and darts with a bigger bar in the center. I’ve also been there on a week day, still enjoyable for a drink or to enjoy a game, they have a few tvs. Bathrooms, at least the men’s room has always been clean, whether it was busy or not. Bartenders quick to serve, and as stated, plenty of spots to get a drink on a busy night.

I’ve always bar hopped in Noda. I live in Myers Park and my family members were visiting me so I decided to hit up Noda. We had tons of fun until we came to the Blind Pig. The bartenders and bouncers were rude. We weren’t aloud to stand literally anywhere. We were a large group of women so obviously for safety reasons we don’t wanna split up @ bars. I don’t know if it’s bc we were a large group of Latina women or what but it just seemed like we were not wanted there. This place should harbor an accepting atmosphere where we can happily get drinks and use the bathroom while waiting for one another. Sorry not sorry.

Friends and I used to come here all the time. They have old school arcade games and it’s a fun spot. However, the service is absolutely deplorable. Every single time I have been, the blonde bartender(Ashley) has been insanely rude. I honestly don’t know how she still has a job. I am also in the industry and always tip at least a twenty when I am at a bar. Last night, my friends and I were paying in cash for drinks and I, per usual, was planning to tip when we left. Ashley told us after our second round she would no longer serve us because we had not tipped her. The time before last we politely asked to see if she could turn on the LSU football game to which she replied«uh, no we don’t change the channels here.» After this reply the bartender next to her looked at her and turned the tv for us. Ashley is 100% the reason we will never be back.

Love coming here when I come to NC. Cool games, chill bar, doggie friendly. Must see when in NoDa

Fun place to go for drinks. The outside area smells like dog because they are right next to a dog bar. They have some really fun games available but sole of them are missing pieces which you can except from a busy bar.

Decided to take a couple friends from out of town and drive around yesterday afternoon to show them all the breweries of Charlotte, maybe do a couple beer flights. Ended up in the area because we decided to stop at the coffee shop across the street. While we were there, wanted to show them the Blind Pig because of the game room. There were maybe a handful of people inside the bar, literally nothing going on since it was still before dinner time, and all we wanted was to walk in and show our friends the game room. The bearded pos behind the bar basically chased us out of the bar for having coffee cups in our hands. This is unique situation and probably on its own doesnt help people decide whether to go or not, but I think when you combine this with all the other people who complain about their staff and service, you’ll see a trend. Its a cool bar idea but the people are the reason I’ll never be going back there.

Life size games and beer? How could you go wrong. This bar is awesome and definitely makes you feel like a kid again. Darts, life size Jenga, pool, cornhole, and beer pong so many options to play! I love the atmosphere and the bartenders are great. My friends and I were getting creeped on and the bartenders took care of it right away. Coming from an out of towner this place is definitely worth visiting.

Anyone who has been here knows this place is great and anyone who hasn’t, what are you waiting for? Seriously. Right in the heart of NoDa lays the most fun bar around. Why you ask? Beer and plenty of games. Yep, skee ball, darts, pool, air hockey, connect 4, corn hole, battleship, punch the bag thingy, pop a shot, jenga, beer pong, old arcade games, yep, anything you could want to do while consuming beer is available at The Blind Pig. There is tons of space and their selection of beer has always been good for me(side story: I once ordered my favorite beer and it was a terrible keg or something but it wasn’t the right color and it tasted very off, I told the bartender and they kindly asked if I wanted to switch out — that made me quite happy because often bartenders are tools — but not here). Anyway, if you’re looking for a good neighborhood bar to have a good time in, this is where you should be!

Love the games and interactive vibe here. There’s outdoor cornhole, a giant connect four, table shuffle board, a few arcade games, and a digital juke box with which you can take photo booth pics. There’s a slightly seedy vibe, too, though. There’s a board with jokingly unwelcome words in the bar and it doesn’t help make the bar more comfortable. They have a screen that you can text into and get your message displayed above the bar as well. It sounds like a great idea! But the last time I was in, it was getting a little racist. Free speech is awesome, but if I owned the place, I would see that as a hazard. The bartenders are great! They seem to like their job and enjoy talking with customers — not always the case with some bars. They have great drink prices, too.

Cool concept, but 95% of their staff are rude and pretentious and they need attitude adjustments and they make their drinks pretty weak. I could probably love this place if their staff were just nice! They need a customer service seminar.

Day drinking is my jam and this place was great… during the day. Good selection of beers, interesting décor and the bar staff was pleasant. Tip: ladies room door has a «keep door closed» sign which makes one think it’s a single but no, duel stalls inside. I think that may be for the night crowd but it’s a little strange for day time.

The sell: drinking adults can play games and be kids again. If I’m out in NoDa, this is always on the list of places to stop. Activities you can do with a beer in your hand make the world go round. They’ve got a little bit of everything: #AllOfTheGames(board, oversized, bar, indoor, outdoor), skeeball, pop a shot, air hockey, adult battleship… they even have Mr. Potato Heads. There’s a screen where you can send silly texts and the whole bar can see. Blind Pig never has a cover charge. There are usually pretty good drink specials of some sort. Friday and Saturday usually has a dj. Patio is great… a mix between smokers and gamers. I really love the NoDa bar scene. Each place is different and unique. If you’re looking for a place to bar hop, it’s a great neighborhood to explore. Parking can be a little tricky. If you’re drinking, über it. If you feel the need to drive, check out Yadkin for some street parking. Yadkin is one street over from Davidson.

Cool bar with lots of games, a few TVs at the main bar, solid beer selection, large outdoor patio. I usually end up playing pool and darts; occasionally bags outside in the summer. No food served here, but there are plenty of surrounding places to eat. Bartenders have always been attentive and quick. I try to avoid this place Friday and Saturday as the crowd is overwhelming and frequently overserved. The weekend crowd makes the pig feel more like a college frat house. I have seen some oddly humorous front-door procedures on the weekend, including a sign-in sheet and roped line outside. They even had a dress code one night — yes, a NoDa dive bar with a dress code! NoDa is definitely in a transitional state as more development continues to encroach the once eclectic vibe of the neighborhood. Unfortunately, I see NoDa moving toward more of a bar district than an art district.

Last night was the first time I been to a bar like this. This place is amazing. I haven’t been to many bars like this where it has a variety of games and attractions. The beer selection is pretty decent. What attracted me to this place was the amount of unique games. I haven’t been to a a lot of bars where they have the assortment of games. Games from beer pong, battleship, giant connect four, cornhole, to giant jenga. Not sure if it was the right night or what, but I had so much fun here. The people here are very friendly and down to chill. This is a place where you can definitely meet people and become friendly with them. You can bond with them through games and not just be creepy. I know where ill be when i come back to Charlotte

The selection of games was adequate, as was the selection of beer. However the amount of truly drunk people was shocking. Not just silly drunk, but stumbling, can’t sit, falling over drunk. The management should be ashamed of that level of overserving. With that said… we stayed in the upper game room and had a nice time playing some pool on a level table with straight cues. The fußball table was equally stable and played well. I would never ever go here on a Thursday through Saturday, but earlier in the evening on a week night seems a good choice.

I subtract one star from the game of Battleship I lost vs. Kelly C. because I had an extra boat. No but really, this place is fun. There’s a ridiculously long table for beer pong, which we all had a hard time even finishing one game, battleship, Connect 4, Skeeball, and a fun message board to «anonymously» write fun text for all to read. There’s also a words that are not allowed at the Blind Pig, like finger, or boyfriend. I think moist should be added to that list by the way. I didn’t buy any drinks for myself(dd), but they did have drink specials(which for a Saturday night in Noda is pretty special). They also have a TV which we watched the second Final Four game on, but it was pretty crowded towards half time. In fact, by the time we left there was a line outside of people waiting to get in. A good setup as well because it caters to those groups with smokers, that can go outside, while those of us who do not partake stay inside and out of the cloud that can sometime occur.

I came here with a group of friends to celebrate a birthday. This place is so much fun! I don’t know why I haven’t been here before! There are all sorts of game, an arcade area, beer pong, battle shots(missing a boat!), corn hole, etc. it’s a blast. The bartenders are friendly and helpful, specials are listed on a chalk board, I stuck to Shock top, so I don’t know how the mixed drinks are.(I did have a jäger bomb that was delicious though…). There’s also a digital board on the wall that you can send a text to — we announced the birthday, and tested some movie quotes. The crowd on Saturday was not particularly good at Wedding Crashers quotes. The back patio area got really crowded with smokers, which was kind of nice for our inside group. I’ll definitely come back here for a fun night out.
