Love this place and most importantly my daughter loved it. Can’t wait to take her back next year.

My first 1 star rating… A friend and I went looking for a pumpkin patch that was relatively close to the city. I searched the internet and found The Farm at Hodge’s Dairy off Rocky River Rd. We were in the market for 6 pumpkins to carve, so I’m talking pumpkins of a relatively good size. We pull up and find lots and lots of pumpkins on display, as well as a patch where you can pick your own. I had just come from Walmart earlier that day where the largest pumpkins were 4 dollars a piece. I grew up in western PA where there were pumpkin patches everywhere, with most pumpkins between 2 and 4 dollars depending on the size. So I definitely had a price in my head! I was stunned to see that the smallest sized pumpkin(one about 4 inches in diameter) cost 6 dollars. The carving sized pumpkins were 20 bucks a piece! 20 dollars for a pumpkin! If we bought our 6 carving pumpkins here, we would’ve spent 120 $ — on pumpkins! Crazzzzzy. It was no wonder that it wasn’t busy and I didn’t really see anyone buying. When you can go to Walmart and buy 6 for 25 bucks, why would anyone go to a patch and pay 120 for the same sized pumpkins? I am always for supporting local business over corporate America, but gosh, not at those prices. We left pumpkinless :(My advice to them would be to lower their prices, or expect their wagons to stay full through the season.
