I gotta say for the price it’s really not bad for the deal and the great thing about it is the electricity, water, and cable is included, and there is no cap, which means you don’t have to worry about your bill going up in the winter. The pool is pretty nice and the leasing office tries to host parties at times for the communities but there is no real supervision so they tend to get out of hand. Drunk obnoxious people and people jumping off balconies into the pool. It’s a college apartment complex so I guess what do you expect? People are going to be loud, play loud music, and stay up all hours of the night. It is one of the safer complexes in the area though with a cop that patrols every night. Now onto the problems I do have. since the price is soo cheap you get all the local rift raft, with people who don’t understand how to care for themselves, and especially can’t take care of there surroundings. Upon moving in, in August the pool was a wreck filled with trash! and every weekend it seems like the accumulation of beer bottles and cans around the complex continues to increase. Who would think soo many people chew gum and smoke? There are cigarette butts everywhere, and gum spots cover the decks, don’t even think of not wearing your shoes around here, without possibly catching some form of disease. In the beginning the maintenance took forever to fix simple issues and always wound up leaving things behind or only taking care of a ¼ of the job and than having to come back. I understand they are doing room turnover so they may be backed up so it can take longer than expected, but 3 weeks or more is unacceptable. While my room still has a hanging smoke alarm with no battery, I have given up on that situation, since once it is replaced it will not stop beeping from what I have been told. I replaced all of the blinds in my room as well as the toilet seat(they were destroyed) and deep cleaned the room from top to bottom since there were black streaks lining the walls, the carpet was spotted upon moving in and no matter how many times it is vacuumed it looks the same, and the bathroom was coated in layers of grime. The room I moved into I had sublet from someone else, which was nice because I got locked in at her leasing price, but the odd thing is I am responsible for the condition I had received it in. I had contacted the girl I had received it from and was told that she did start the lease but all of the rooms in the apartment were turned over(cleaned, everything fixed and replaced) except for hers and that was the condition she had received it in. I am normally a very positive guy, and don’t know if these are common problem with others I just wanted to give an honest objective opinion. The people in the leasing office though are very generous people and willing to work with you on many things. I am without a car right now so I frequently use the downstairs drink machine, but the drinks were sold out for at least 2 – 3 weeks, a nice young lady Amanda I believe her name is has given me drinks from time to time during this period to ease the situation. It just makes you wonder why it took soo long to refill the drink machine. I had left my room key at a friend’s place the other day and instead of forcing me to buy a new key they gave me a back up key with an exchange of collateral and allowed me to keep it longer than they normally would until I got my key back from my friend. Overall, if you are looking for a pretty cool place to live, and meet some people, or are looking for a little bit of a party hotspot and don’t care too much about mess this is the place for you. I believe this place has the potential to be a great place, their are just some things that need to be worked on.
