I had a horrible experience with Dr. Verross. A week after giving birth to my son, I made an appointment with his office because I was short of breath. They seen me same day. His assistant rushed me in, took my blood pressure which she said was «normal» and then said my pulse was «normal». Dr. Verross then came in and asked me what the problem was. I told him I could not breathe and he snickered «You CAN breathe or you wouldn’t be sitting here.» He listened to my heart and told me it wasn’t serious, that it was just stress, to breathe into a paper bag. They sent me on my way, giving me looks as if I was an idiot for coming in. I went to the ER that night because it didn’t get any better and breathing into a paper bag was worse. My blood pressure was 210 over 160, definitely not NORMAL as his assistant said. My heart beat was irregular because I was in heart failure. I spent the next days in ICU with not one doctor from his office, let alone himself, come to check on me. HORRIBLE experience with not even an apology.
