West Deck – UNCC

This is my deck of choice for pretty much anything on the UNCC campus. It’s levels scale the campus’ south-​side hill, so exiting at the various levels deposits you near different facilities. It’s main entrance, on the first floor from Barnhardt Ln, is typically the most trafficked and thus parking on the first floor fills up by 7:30 am. Since no respectable Unilocalers are even awake by 7:30 am, this might seem a tragedy. Fortunately, you don’t want to park on the first floor. Parking on the first floor means hoofing it up an unpaved hill to reach the campus proper. It is downright undignified.
You want to enter on the third floor from the University Rd side. There is less action on this side, and more opportunity. Quickly rise one more floor to park on the fourth. Here, the north side of the garage exits on the same level as the gym/​lower campus. Sweet. Or go up another level, where the fifth floor exits onto the upper campus. Also sweet. And since most folks enter on the first floor it is easier to park in these higher (but more convenient) levels.
