A 1 Carpet Cleaners

We recently hired Joe to clean the upholstery on our living room furniture and the carpeting throughout our upstairs. I was actually ready to give up on the furniture as the past two companies we had hired were unable to make much of a difference. I was frustrated and ready to give up when I talked with Joe. Though his price was definitely more than we had paid in the past, the result was definitely worth it. The 10 year old carpet was nearly pristine, and the furniture, stained by years of existence in a house with young children, was markedly improved. You can probably pay less, but it is hard for me to imagine using anyone else. Quality matters.

Joe was on time and professional. He cleaned our three bedrooms in about an hour. He did an amazing job! Our carpets look brand new after at least 8 years of wear. We would recommend A1 to others.

Singularly the best carpet cleaning service I’ve used in the last five years since I moved to C-​ville! First, Joe showed up on time and was professionally dressed and clean. Second, his equipment was clean and he properly protected my home from the hoses and other cleaning equipment. Third, when we connected to my outside spigot, it burst and flooded my basement with about two inches of water before I noticed it. My fault as if froze the previous evening and I didn’t properly prepare it for the winter. Immediately I called to Joe and shut the water off to the house. Without asking, Joe ran out to his van and retrieved additional water removal equipment including fans for drying and assisted me in moving my stuff (a storage room and family room worth). After cleaning up ALL of the water, he continued on with the carpet cleaning. Talk about going above and beyond! Without him assisting I would have been cleaning up water for a day or so. Afterward, he left a fan so it would completely dry out — for free, and didn’t want to accept a generous tip. I gave it to him anyway!

Joe did a great job cleaning the carpets in our 3 level townhouse, very professional, knowledgable, and thorough. We did shop around and found his price to be right on par with the competition. Would definitely use him again!

I recently hired Joe of A-​1 to clean a condo in preparation for a new tenant moving in. He failed to show up for the first scheduled appointment. We rescheduled the appointment. He cleaned the condo and billed us for $ 432.00 which we thought was high for a 2 bedroom condo. When the rental agent showed the condo to a perspective tenant she called me to say that the carpet was very dirty and unacceptable to the tenant. The tenant rented the condo but then had to hire someone to clean the carpet, I called Joe to register my concerns and ask for him to make it right per his guarantee. He refused and insisted that the carpet had been properly cleaned. When it became clear that he had intention of honoring his guarantee I ended the conversation.
I recommend that you take your business elsewhere if you don’t want to be overcharged for a poor quality job.

Wanted to get the carpets cleaned before moving into a new (to us) house. The owners before us had dogs (maybe cats also). I’m allergic. We wanted the most affordable, thorough and non-​toxic way to clean. After looking into doing it ourselves and other cleaners, we picked A 1. There was an initial inspection, which gave insight was to what was in each room etc. And he was right-​on (as we had looked at the house with the stuff in it from the previous owners) Joe was thorough, offered a more ‘green’ solution, okay for kids. We were in the house for most of the work and he was careful about my 2 kids, letting me know what he was doing. Left us with carpet cleaner for ‘kid-​stains’ that might occur… he offers other service protections also. Would def. recommend!
