I’ve purchased two bikes from here, and my experience both times has been excellent. I know very little about bikes, and have heavily relied on the opinion of the staff members for my bike purchases. Each time I’ve been here, I have found the staff members to be very helpful, honest, and patient. On my first visit, I told the staff member helping me that I was looking to buy a commuter bike as a birthday present for my boyfriend. The staff member asked me for a price range and my boyfriend’s height, then selected a bike model based on this information (a Trek 7.2 FX with a 17.5 frame). I purchased the bike, which was then taken to the back room for a tune up. I was told about the extensive maintenance guarantees that comes with the sale of each bike. Also, the staff let me know that if my boyfriend didn’t like the bike I picked out, he could bring it back and exchange it, as long as it was in re-​sellable condition. Fortunately, my boyfriend really enjoys the bike I got him, and it seems to be the perfect fit. If you are looking for a place to buy a bike in Charlottesville, Blue Ridge Cyclery is the way to go!
The branch of the store I went to is located in a shopping center along Route 29, next to the Target. It is very easy to spot, with ample parking out front.

This place is awesome! I went to their new location on Preston Ave for service on my mountain bike. They were super friendly and helpful (same as when they were on Milmont). Justin worked on my bike while I waited, explaining the work and any options. They have lots of inventory — all kinds of bikes at different price ranges, lots of accessories. The store is spacious, well lit and attractive. Most of all, I love their attitude and excellent customer service. I highly recommend Blue Ridge Cyclery in Ch’ville.
