I seriously love Costco and wish I could live there. Everything is affordable, but also high quality. Also the samples = basically enough for a full meal. I got a pair of eyeglasses from Costco and they were less than half the price I was quoted at my eye doctor. Also, the #1 selling point is the amazing beer and wine selection, and most of the wine prices are insanely cheap. Another thing that makes this Costco better than the ones I’ve been to in larger cities is that it never gets as crowded and even the longest checkout line in Cville is shorter than the shortest checkout line at Costcos in larger cities.

I used to go to the Costco in Harrisonburg and have been completely content with my experience with customer service. The Charlottesville location however is the worst. The cashiers and food vendor workers are so impersonal, are rude most of the time, and show very little patience. Today in particular was just a gem. An older lady working at a demo station yells at my mother for picking a piece of bread out of her bowl. She continued Belittling her telling her how unsanitary she was and that we had made her job harder. We were so infuriated and embarrassed by the scene she caused, we left without even purchasing the stuff we wanted. I had half a mind to spit in her bread bowl and her disgusted face. Now that would be unsanitary. I could not believe how poorly this old woman handled herself and how she made us feel. Being in customer service industry ourselves this experience was nothing short of appalling.

Costco Cville, the giant box conglomerate that has an endless supply of everything you ever thought you needed and more. This place is clean, well kept, relaxing to walk through, and the staff are nice. Having been to different locations this has to be one of my preferred Costcos thus far. On a Monday night I was single handedly able to find sheepskin rugs in a plethora of colors, stamps, Toms for $ 29, and hot dogs for $ 1.50. All of which I did not need, barring the hot dog of course, and oh, Kirkland brand dog beds for the fantastic price of $ 29 for a great round and easily washable dog bed. Did I mention they sell decently priced wine and beer, and most of which is locally brewed? I definitely appreciate the one stop shop feel and will be back.

This brand new Costco, adjacent to the Shops at Stonefield, just opened on Thursday, July 30 after years of planning and much anticipation from shoppers. It’s the first Costco Warehouse in Charlottesville and a very welcomed addition to the area. When we visited on its first Sunday in business, the place was packed! They were offering some specials and discounts for new members, and there was a huge crowd of eager customers waiting to sign up for membership. Many people seemed enthusiastic to go shopping there. The store is ginormous! Since this Costco is just days old, it is very clean and everything is well stocked. There is a wide selection of items, including designer handbags(Chanel, Michael Kors, etc.)! There is also a gas station, and the prices for gasoline are very cheap.
