Great little sandwich place! Service is quick, only downside is that there only a few tables and parking spaces. They do have a patio in the parking lot, but that’s not particularly appealing in February. I’d recommend this place for take away.

The En Fuego($ 9) is my favorite breakfast burrito of all ~25 places I’ve tried(mostly Mexican places in the California bay area). I’m picky about meat, but I love the chorizo in the burrito. I think the En Fuego is perfectly spicy, generous with the chorizo, and has the right amount of potatoes(some places fill up burritos with potatoes or rice). My mom loved two of the other biscuit sandwiches as well, and those were cheaper($ 5 or $ 6). I also think it’s nice that they have breakfast all day.

This is it! These Sandwiches AND Potato Salad were Very Good! If NOT five Unilocal stars close enough to the BEST I have eaten in a LONG Time!!! Notorious PIG was an EASY Choice Cured meats a little Cheese, Extra Red Onions on Delicious Bread(Hoagie-ish Roll with a fancy name) with an Italian Dressing that needs to be REPLACED! My Bride got the BLT and I LOVED it too! It had Hummus and a Picked Carrot Slaw instead of Mayo… Impressively Amazingly Inventive BLT — I HATE Lettuce! My Bride scrapped most of it off… Potato Salad was Deliciously Innovative for US and Gourmet for Germany Drink Prices are clearly marked… Sandwich Prices are COMPETITIVE for this kind of Quality! Vibe We felt as if we must be near a Country Club by the Patrons, which is VERY Entertaining to me since I’m rarely around CC types!

I have come here a few times with friends and their sandwiches are fantastic. One time I got the cheese steak and my boyfriend got the gyro. They were both great and not typical things you can get — as they were on the daily special menu. The only complaint my boyfriend had about his chicken gyro was there was some pieces of gristle/fat in it that wasn’t the best chewy surprise. Today I came for lunch right after class and got the banh mi sandwich. Why did I wait so long to order this? Its delicious, filling and flavorful. You got to love cilantro though — they put a big chunk on there. I personally thought it was a refreshing flavor. At $ 10 you’re paying for a premium high quality sandwich. However, this place isn’t somewhere I can eat everyday on a student budget. It would be cool if they offered a cheap lunch special for students or something. Tips: Grab a good chunk of napkins. These sandwiches are drippy and can cause a mess when eating — but I guess you need that soaked in flavor goodness.

Pretty legit, if not on the expensive side. I have only ordered two things, so maybe this is a premature review, but they were so grease laden and decadent that I’d have to call this extremely upscale fast food with excellent ingredients rather than a deli. What I ordered was delicious, but it also made me feel bad about myself — the hallmarks of fast food. It’s an important distinction to make. I wouldn’t go here if I was craving«a simple sandwich that is convincingly healthy, even if it isn’t actually all that healthy.» I think Bellair is still winning that narrow Doobly-centric category of cravings. From the photos, there appear to be some less greasy options though, so I’ll be back to try those. And I’ll be back for the greasy ones too.

Still 5 stars, but the regular went up in price $ 1… The sloppy Jose is amazing though, and for only $ 1 more than the regular, probably going with that now going forward. Not as easy to justify going all the time anymore though with the new price

Cool marketing of brand. Hip interior. However too pricey for me. Sandwich and bottled pop for $ 13.50. Over $ 15.00 if I add chips?

An amazing place to drive and get awesome, colossal sandwiches and pick up a nice pack of local brew or wine. First came here with my girlfriend for a wine-tasting event and I definitely kicked myself for not having discovered this place sooner! To begin with, IVP definitely captures the whole rustic, «fresh ingredients» kind of vibe that you might discover in the countryside or something. It’s a hard atmosphere to describe perfectly, but let’s just say I felt fancy AF during that wine-tasting. They have a great selection of wines you might not find elsewhere and a fridge full of local brews that I was amazed with. But the sandwiches… OHMAN. I absolutely LOVED their sandwiches. They weren’t your run-of-the-mill regular sandwiches. they were really hefty and made with ingredients so fresh, they still got the sticker on them(I kid, but you see where I’m going with this). Aside from their hilariously quirky names(the Gobbfather, Notorious P.I.G., Get Shawty, stop me while I’m ahead), they were really tasty and some of the best sandwiches I’ve had in Charlottesville, and I am not exaggerating. I definitely wish I had gone here sooner because I could have picked up some dope sandwiches and then maybe some wine/beer to wash it down! As an added bonus, IVP also holds regular events such as wine-tastings and such that are a great place to take friends or S/Os(or potential S/Os if you’re going for that), that will really open up your mind and taste buds to new things! I credit IVP for getting me into dry wines so they are a winner in my book.

This place has a great farm to table vibe with the natural wood rafters, floors, and tables, with accents of burlap, and other rustic contemporary details. I would go as far as to say this would be a great place for a small, casual, and intimate private party if your group is into small spaces with delicious choices. This is a cute breakfast and lunch kind of place! There is also a decent selection of wines, build your own beer 6-pack station, and cold cases full of drinks and additional sides. They also have awesome Ivy Provisions soft t-shirts for $ 11! Yeah! Apparel! Did I mention the food was good? It was! I tried the IVP Banh Mi and soup special of Gazpacho with goat cheese. The Gazpacho was a zesty combination of blended veggies and topped with distinct goat cheese flavors mixed in. I’m a huge gazpacho fan and this one makes it to the top of my list. As far as the IVP Banh MI, I should preface this with saying that I’m a self-professed Banh Mi connoisseur due to my heritage and life long addiction to this Vietnamese staple. I also understand and greatly appreciate all interpretations of this dish for that very same reason. That being said, I liked it, but didn’t love it. I felt that the pâté was spot on, but the flavor was masked by the overwhelming amount of mayo that was used. The meat was great quality and very tasty as well as the pickled carrots and cabbage and cilantro. Yet, I would have liked to see seasoned pulled chicken or pork used instead of slices of cold cuts. I would have also loved the addition of the very common fresh slices of jalapeños. However, despite those nuances, my boyfriend and I both agreed it was very good! We are definitely coming back to try the other sandwiches!

I think I’m a fan. Subsequent visits will confirm! The«regular» kills bellair market breakfasts. Yes, all of them. And fresh Trager coffee from 29-S; what a concept– actual fresh local coffee. The waiting time for breakfast is worth it; instead of cellophane-wrapped dried-out biscuits, you get a fresh biscuit with a beautiful soufflé –style egg.

My brother brought me here. Insisted I order the Rock. I did, at his insistence. It was incredible. The home made biscuit rocked my world.

Great massively huge sandwiches packed with delicious meat and cheese. Got the Gobbfather and it was.AMAZING. We went in for a free winetasting and the bread and dips were delicious. If you ever have a fancy gathering, buy their hummus, pimento cheese, pickled cucumbers, and brie.

Good, quick-service food. The chicken salad sandwich was really good(and kind of messy), but we’ll be going back. Good for take-out.

We stopped here for a late lunch on a Sunday afternoon. Though the place was nearly empty, the staff was friendly and courteous, and our sandwiches arrived fairly quickly. The K.I.S.S. Caprese got high marks from the two folks who had it, while my IVP banh mi was preposterously good, with savory meats contrasting well with crunchy pickled veggies.(The guys behind the counter even apologized for having run out of cilantro.) Our bill was a touch on the pricey side, even given the well-made and high-quality food, but we’ll still be back. The banh mi was too good not to revisit, and the breakfast menu demands further investigation.

Ivy Provisions is a wonderful place. I most often times have enjoyed their sandwiches, but they also host a monthly Barn & Brew event that I have attended. It is a great spot to stop in for sandwiches and other picnic essentials to go. They also have a nice selection of local beers, ciders, and even wine. I have tried their vegan Purple Rain with cheese, which was everything you could want in veggie sandwich. It was full of lots of veggies and the bread was fresh! I have also had the Winner Winner which is chicken salad made with Green Goddess dressing topped with bacon and served on very fresh bread. How could you possibly go wrong? Their Barn & Brew events are held the last Friday of the month and feature The Rock Barn and a local brewery, the latest ones have been Starr Hill and Devil’s Backbone. They offer complimentary tasting of beer and appetizers that are amazing! You can also purchase a full beer from the brewery for $ 5. The place isn’t that big, so you want to arrive early to avoid the crowds.

I always drive by this place and never knew what it was until this week. So glad I finally checked it out because this little gem carries many scrumptious sandwiches worth indulging in. Their Bobke and K.I.S.S. Caprese sandwiches are exceptional and fresh in terms of preparation and ingredients, especially when compared to your typical breakfast and lunch offerings of sandwiches elsewhere. Yes, they have high standards for their sandwiches and it shows. Thank you Ivy Provisions for being on point. I will definitely be returning!

I lived in Charlottesville for three years, but have since moved back to the metropolis to the north. Yesterday, my inbox pinged with an email update from Ivy Provisions, reminding me how much I loved this place, and C-ville in general. Their menu has changed since my last visit in July(and it had changed before that once too), but my favorite sandwich is still available, thank goodness. The Winner Winner – chicken, bacon, green goddess dressing, and some lettuce and tomato, all on their really, really, really great bread. Delicious. I know some people feel like IvP is overpriced, especially because they are comparing it to Bellair. First of all, I admit, I have never been a big fan of Bellair. Their sandwiches are certainly better than Subway, but I never went out of my way to go there. I just think their bread is inadequate. Second of all, IvP is comparably priced to the other two places in Charlottesville that make excellent sandwiches: Market St. Market and Feast. If anything, you get a little more for your money at IvP than at Feast. All in all, Ivy Provisions and the Winner Winner will be on my «must have» list whenever I am back in town.

A really good sandwich place that would give almost next door hoagie juggernaut Bellair some competition… if the prices were a little lower. Ivy Provisions is a welcome new addition to the woeful hoagie scene in Charlottesville. The place offers some really good sandwiches/salads/sides. My girlfriend and I came here on a Sunday around lunch. The interior is small and minimalist, with the ordering counter and checkout counter separated and on opposite sides. There is a nice seating area and they offer a diverse selection of domestic beers(and local beers such as Devil’s Backbone, Wild Wolf Brewing Company, and Bold Rock Cider) and wines, which you can drink there or take to-go. The food here is very good and made fresh daily. I ordered the Notorious P.I.G.(a pretty common name/pun for a sandwich it seems), which had Salami, prosciutto, capicola, provolone, peppers, onion, lettuce, oil & vinegar. It was very tasty — the bread is either made there or procured fresh(the bread makes or breaks the hoagie), the meat was flavorful and not greasy, and the vegetable fresh. It came with a small cup of pasta salad, whose taste was completely overpowered by the black olives they had in it. My girlfriend got the Arugula salad, which consists of Arugula(derp), goat cheese, curry spiced almonds, black mission figs & balsamic vinegar-honey dressing. The salads are pre-made but by all appearances it was made that morning, and I enjoyed the mix of salty almonds and sweet figs. The food here is good, and Ivy Provisions is perfectly set up to compete with Bellair down the street. It seems like this place markets itself as artisanal and more upscale than Bellair, and as such the subs are more expensive — my sub was $ 9 and the salad was $ 8. That may be a tough bite for cash-strapped college students to swallow, especially when they can get hoagies one mile away for $ 6 – 7. I have no doubt the quality is there for Ivy Provisions, but if it could knock off $ 1 – 2 I think it would attract some of that business. In sum, Ivy Provisions allows me to get my hoagie fix in Charlottesville, and if you’re mindful of the ingredients and don’t mind paying a bit more, it’s nice alternative to Bellair.

Went here for lunch today for the first time ever. Had been meaning to try it for a while. We had a delicious lunch, ordering the KISS(similar to a caprese sandwich), the Regular(bacon, egg, cheese biscuit), and the Oink Oink(croissant, egg, bacon, and turkey). My KISS was absolutely delicious. The rest of the sandwiches were great from what I could tell(I had a bite of each). The bread was fresh and perfect mix of crunch and fluffiness. One of the best sandwiches I’ve had in a long time! I’m moving out of state this week. Finding Ivy Provisions now makes it even harder to go. They have a great beer and wine selection. It’s a great place to stay and eat or gather provisions for a picnic!
