«We know how stressful moving can be so we strive to make each experience with us as stress-free as possible… unlike some movers we do not begin billing for your labor until our staff is there and working.» This quote from their website couldn’t be further off. They charged my account 3 weeks before the service and their movers no-showed on my moving day, leading to an extremely stressful nightmare. I booked with«move it cville» a month in advance– confirmed availability online then per their instructions checked out on their website with all my details. I received 2 email confirmations and the money was immediately deducted from my bank account. When moving day arrived nobody showed up. When I called the phone number I had for them it went straight to voicemail. I panicked that I was going to incur a huge penalty from my apartment for not being out on time. Only after some searching online did I discover that the company was«under new management». I called the new number on the website for«move me cville», panicked and frustrated, and spoke to Rachael, the exact woman who I made my reservation with the month before. Despite being the one who I made my reservation with, Rachael refused to take any responsibility, but said she would try to help me anyway. Forget that she had taken my money and left me high and dry, she was doing me a favor?! The website lists Rachael as the owner by the way, so this was not some clueless employee who was not to blame. Then, after I suggested I wanted my money back and that they might be responsible for that late fee from my apartment she cursed and yelled at my husband(who had taken the phone because I was too stressed to talk to her anymore), accused us of being bad people, and threatened not to send the help we desperately needed(and had already paid for). My husband is very level headed and did not raise his voice or swear at Rachael once, despite her ridiculous behavior on the other end of the line. Ultimately after my husband apologized for hurting Rachael’s feelings and agreed with her that, yes, her job sounds really hard, she agreed to send the movers she was holding hostage. The only positive thing I will say is that the young men she sent were very kind and efficient. Later in the day Rachael sent me an email to let me know I would be getting a $ 35 discount because they were late. She said she would like to give me a full refund but she was not«allowed» to. The website lists her as the owner, so really? They need a serious lesson in customer service. Stay far, far away. And in an unsurprising update– I never received that $ 35 refund and my follow up emails were ignored.

I am so glad I booked this company for my move. There was confusion on my part on the date of the move, but the company was understanding and rescheduled my move. I also wavered on getting a truck, and last minute decided on one and they were again understanding. I met Bill and Savion who were courteous, efficient, and positive throughout the whole move. It also rained towards the end but they pushed through. Highly recommend.

This was the most painful move ever. I should have gone with my gut instinct and stayed away when I had difficulty communicating with the owner regarding the details of this move. I mean moves are never fun, but this was horrible. They showed up 2 hours late, they had a smaller truck than stated, and only 3 men when I paid for four. They adjusted the cost because of issues, but fighting over that did not help resolve my stress level. Also, they scratched some of our nice wood furniture. Someone was sent to fix it, but of course you cannot undo scratches and dents in wood. Bottom line I would never recommend this company. Maybe they are good for small moves, but our 3br house was way above their comfort zone. The reason I’m giving 2 stars is because the actual movers were nice and the price was adjusted, but I can’t give more than that.

We were really impressed and very happy with MoveIt Cville for our move at the end of January. Our closing date kept changing(out of our control and not our fault). It was horribly stressful, but Wesley was very understanding and flexible. I really appreciated not having to worry about the movers on top of everything else. The move went very smoothly. They were very prompt and moved VERY quickly. I have had movers in the past and have never had anyone work so hard and efficiently as these guys did. The price was extremely reasonable. I liked being able to pay the deposit online and communicate via email when needed. I did lose some clothes, but they were in trash bags, so I don’t know if they somehow got thrown away by accident. Again, we were really impressed and happy with their services. I have recommended them to everyone who has a move in their future and would definitely use them again. Thank you Wesley(and team)!

The company had a miscommunication on my local move. They picked up our goods at 11:00AM and did not arrive at our new location two hours later. It should have taken 30 minutes. Called the company and discovered the truck was at the office but the crew was on another job. They arrived with our goods five hours later. Company discounted the rate but they only deserve two stars.
