I recently attended a wedding at OMH… Not mine, of course. It’s right in the middle of the downtown mall in Charlottesville. From the outside, it looks like just another building. When you walk inside it’s simple. That’s any venue for the most part. It’s how you add the finishing touches that makes a place stand out. And for as simple as the set up can be you have a ton of options ahead of you. A few things I liked: — Located in the middle of the downtown mall which is outdoors, it’s quite the draw for people watchers for you and your wedding party. There was an outdoor patio where we enjoyed our drinks. — Downstairs is a basement-like setup. There’s a bar and an open floor for dancing. Underground college party? Throw it back if you may, this place is good for an event as such. — The staff was very friendly. Make friends with a person or two and you’ll have appetizers coming to you all night. The pictures posted by another user definitely are quite helpful. If you want to have a wedding or an event at OLH the max capacity for comfort is around 80. Anything more and you’ll get a little cramped — both inside and with the outdoor patio. It’s a quaint little venue for small weddings and events and I really enjoyed myself there.

Very pretty venue right on the downtown mall. The staff was wonderful and ensured my event was a success. The in-house farm tables and chairs are outstanding. My only complaint is that the room can become loud. Be sure to keep the background music to a minimum.
