I like Subway because they are reliable. No matter what location you go to, you get basically the same level of quality.
I have been getting the Subway meatball for many years. As any meatball lover knows, meatballs vary wildly from place to place. But Subway is consistent. It’s not the best, but it’s «safe».
This location served me the absolute worst meatball I’ve had in my entire life. It was just wretched. I realize places can have «off» days, but this should have gone directly in the garbage.
I will never return to this location, as they have demonstrated their inability to maintain Subway quality.

I don’t normally rate fast food restaurants, but this is the best Subway I have ever been to. There’s not much to say about the food (standard Subway fare, though it is always very fresh, which is more than I can say for other Subways I’ve been to). But the staff really make this place. As other reviewers have pointed out, they are always exceptionally friendly, and go out of their way to make this fast food experience a good one. If you’re in the Pantops area and find yourself craving a quick sandwich, this is the place to go.

It’s impossible for me to give any fast food restaurant five stars, so this Subway is the top of the fast food list. The owners are exceptionally friendly and the place is clean and convenient.

Richmond, VA
It’s a Subway like any other. When reviewing chains restaurants, the difference is not the food, but the location, how well it’s kept and level of service. This location is in the Pantops area at the end of an old strip mall, so it’s convenient for those on the south end of Charlottesville. It’s clean. The staff is always very nice, particularly the Indian man and woman, who I believe are a couple and the owners. I don’t eat at fast food restaurants often, but Subway will do in a pinch.
