The guys in here were so helpful, knowledgable, and really cared that I got what my item was truly worth. It was my first time attempting to sell something at a pawn shop and I couldn’t have been more pleased with the experience!

I noticed that Tobey’s had no reviews, so I figured I would chime in. Tobey’s has always been great to me. Their FFL fee is not ridiculous, and unlike some of the other businesses in town, they do not discriminate as to what businesses they will accept an FFL transfer from. They usually have a pretty decent selection of guns in stock, as well as tools and other pawn shop fare. I have never sold them anything, but I’ve purchased several things from them (most recently a fishing pole) and find their prices to be fair.
Most importantly, Tobey and his crew are quite friendly, and easy to deal with. This is my last year in Charlottesville, and I know that it will be difficult to find an FFL/​pawn shop that is as reliable and fair as Tobeys in my new location.
