Ted’s Charlton City Package Store

Teds is AWESOME!!! Love Teds. Huge selection of cold beer, mostly craft beers. Just as many wines to choose from plus prices are low and you get discounts for buying multiple bottles. The deli food is off the hook. Great food and cheap booze what more could you want.

The whole length of the back wall is beer coolers, PLUS a walk-​in cooler for larger package sizes. There are entire aisles dedicated to specific liquor types (rum, vodka, wisk (e)y). And there seemed to be a nice selection of wine too! (not my choice of drink)
There is a small deli, and a small selection of produce.
The beer prices as of April 2015 are average for MA, but the liquor is not priced outrageous like some of the smaller convenience-​type stores.
They immediately asked for my ID as soon as I approached the counter, and ran it through a scanner. The clerk was a lot more friendly after that… I imagine due to the size, and how busy it can get, they get a lot of children trying to make purchases so they have to be cautious with everyone.
Overall it’s worth taking a look, and WOW… Is there a lot to look at.

I was expecting to see a ton of reviews on Unilocal for this place:
This place has many regular customers.
It is now a completely new build/​facility which was built on the same property and the original which is featured in a photo upload is now gone.
I will start with the ONLY con that I can think of:
If you are traveling west on route 20 and want to enter the parking lot’s first entrance, it is a bit of risk as the traffic behind you may not be expecting you to turn due to the entrance is not very visible upon approaching from that way.
Now for the good:
1) The recycling area is set aside and has all new machines which are very convenient.
2) The register counter is configured in a logical way were customers can choose between multiple registers, so typically there are no lines. For New Years sure there were lines, but even as busy as they get then, the lines were moving along quickly.
3) SELECTION! If you are looking for wines, liqueurs, whiskeys, rums, scotch, gin, schnapps, pre-​mixed concoctions, beers, IPA, champagnes, you name it they have it. They have a plentiful supply of everything, including snacks.
4) The Deli! They feature Boar’s Head and that is a real good place to start. The deli alone could be in its own review. Have ordered roast beef, Italian, meatball, tuna, hot pastrami, and steak and cheese. Every single sandwich has been delicious. My girlfriend, her mom, house guests, have all tried a sandwich here and everyone has said the same thing.
They have always had a good customer service attitude; they treat all of the customers well. With a local country hospitality!
