We drove by this diner and decided to try based on Unilocal reviews. Amazing breakfast ., huge portions… delicious corned beef hash and thick slices of raisin bread. The only negative is that my New Year’s diet has been shot for a piece of heavenly food.

We went for breakfast here while staying in the area. The size of the portions and the number of options were amazing. We both had omelettes, the Yankee one with corn beef and a special offered. Both were great and definitely fresh home fries. There is no way you can walk out of here still hungry! Definitely will go back!

Traveling down route 20, you may have seen this gem on the side of the road. Next time pull in and at least get a cup of coffee. With daily specials and seasonal options this is your best bet. From scratch done right! Yesterday we all ordered house made corned beef hash eggs benedict, and it was awesome. Today we returned and were floored by their omelets. I’m not sure what we’ll order tomorrow but we will be going there one last time before we leave the area. I wish we had diners like this back in the Midwest.

Hands down best diner I have ever been to for both food and service. I went for breakfast and I have to say… whether you’re looking for regular eggs or something a little more fancy(today’s special included crunch French toast with banana and strawberry granola waffles) there’s something for everyone. Even egg whites. It’s a cute, small diner car with charming décor. The chef(I’m assuming is the J in «J & E») is a magician. He’s got his groove going– watching him alone is fascinating, and the girls behind the counter are as friendly as can be and really work their tails off! The red bliss home fries had a tasty seasoning, like Lawry’s, eggs were cooked perfectly and the bacon was great! Everything that came off the griddle looked better than the next. Whether you live in Charlton or are looking for a diner off 90 this is the place to go.

I don’t usually leave reviews on Unilocal unless I had a bad experience somewhere. But this breakfast was phenomenal, to say the least. I have never seen a menu that could satisfy a man’s appetite like this one. I got the«hash bake». It had 2 poached eggs, some of the best home fries I’ve ever tasted, and cheddar cheese on top of a bed of homemade corned beef hash with a decent price tag. I highly recommend this place to anybody who respects the fine art of short order cooking. The service was great. I used to be a short order cook myself so I can tell the cook, Jay really knows what he’s doing on that grill. The waitress/owner was very friendly and hospitable. It reminded me of the kind of service you can only find down south. If you have already written this place off due to the inexperience of the last couple owners then you need to give it another try. I promise you won’t be disappointed.
