L.A. Nails

I really hate to leave a bad review for independent businesses especially ones that are in my area but I had to comment that this place has one very rude tech that made me never want to come back. The manager who is a male was always kind (I went to the place maybe twice before) and very friendly but on my last visit I had a lady who never smiled, never talked, never even really responded to me at all. I can understand someone not speaking English but does that mean you can’t crack a smile? I can understand someone having a bad day but that didn’t seem like the case because I saw her laughing and smiling with other people while she was prepping my pedicure. Ok whatever maybe she is shy and I’m not a big talker anyway I prefer not to talk when getting a haircut or anything of that nature. But then after my pedicure was finished she scoffed and rolled her eyes at my request to sit next to my friend while we get our manicures. Seriously? Is it that big of a deal? My friend was halfway through her full set when I was ready to begin my manicure but at that point I was so shocked at the treatment and lack of just basic common courtesy (non-​english speaking people can smile too) that I cancelled my manicure and got out of the seat. That didn’t bother this tech at all. No «why is anything wrong?» Or «are you sure?» None of that. Just barely a shoulder shrug and an «Ok» as she retreated to the back as if nothing was wrong. Well for this you lost my business and everyone else’s that I know.
It’s hard to justify that attitude when there are so many other nail salons in the area who are friendlier, better quality work, and won’t make you feel like you are bothering them and who actually appreciate the business. I highly recommend B&D nails who are just down the road (right next door to The Brewery in the subway plaza) they are very pleasant and do a great job.

They do the best pedicures, and they really take their time.

I come here every year from Arizona when I visit. Best nail salon/​spa I’ve ever had! Every nail tech is great at what they do. Very clean, friendly. I brought in a picture of a nail design I wanted off of Pinterest and Amy (nail tech) did an amazing job. So happy! Tina is also amazing. Like I said though, every nail artist is great here. My pic is of my nails for New Years!

I’ve been going to this nail salon for at least 18 years now and have never had any issues. The service is usually pretty good depending on who you get to do your nails. Some of the newer less experienced nail techs aren’t as great but some are awesome so it’s hit or miss but once you find one you like I suggest you stick with them. The owners Tim and Tina are really nice and Tim always remembers everyone’s name which I think is very personable.

Now all my nails are chipping! Worst nail salon ever! Wish I could give negative stars

Awful job. Staff is very unfriendly and rude. Try to upsell any chance they can. Got a shellac manicure done that is supposed to last approx 1.5 to 2 weeks. next day my nails were chipped on three nails. Went back and they agreed reluctantly to «touch» it up after suggesting it was my fault !!! after touch up they chipped the next day. I get shellac frequently and they always last 2 weeks on me. BEWARE. Go elsewhere.

Very friendly staff and everyone does a great job! My only complaint would be that it gets a little unorganized with scheduling. If you make an appointment you are usually not taken at that time because of double booking.
Either way it does not take away from what they do. When someone is doing your nails they take their time. The shellac I got lasted for 3 weeks without chipping or peeling!

This place is great. I had a mani/​pedi. Pedicure came with a awesome 10 min foot massage. Heaven! Got shallac for hands and still a week later they look great! I had Joyce..

I have been coming here for almost nine years. Tim and Tina the owners are so wonderful. I bring all of my out of town girlfriends and female family members for pedicures when they visit. Tim and Tina along with the great staff always go above and beyond for us. If you are looking for a place to get your nails done on a regular basis there’s no other like this one!!! Since I moved further from the City, I still continue to drive here because no other can compare!
