Motor City Stamped Concrete

Only giving one star because I have to in order to leave review! Here is our review in a nutshell. Worked with Ashley since end of March 2021on getting new stamped concrete to replace Paver Patio and walkway in backyard and a walkway on side of house and front of house along with a porch cap. Gave Ashley well over the 10% deposit and set up Job for June 21st. Whenever I would try to contact Ashley, days would go by and then she would give me an excuse. First there was a death in family and they had to go out of town which we would never question. The second excuse was they were out of town on vacation and the third excuse was they had a family emergency. Two weeks prior to our scheduled start date, we noticed our deposit given to Ashley on May 4th had still not been deposited/cashed so I called, left message & emailed and days went by with no response. When Ashley did finally call, she swore she didn't lose or misplace the check and said she would put it through that week. That never happened! Our start date came on June 21st and the crew was a NO SHOW! At Ashleys request, prior to the start date, we had our Central A/C unit hauled off, a 6' section of our vinyl fence removed (inconvenience for our 100 lb Labrador), we had multiple sprinklers relocated in our yard and flower beds that were going to be near the work areas, we cut back our very large plants and relocated Multiple Asian Flowers in our flower beds in front and backyard, We had our very large Cedar Deck Steps removed all at Ashleys request to prepare for our start date on June 21st. Anyways, when the crew didn't show up, I called Ashleys cell number which is the only number listed as Motor City Stamped Concrete / Construction's business number but Ashley did not answer! I left multiple messages, I text her, I sent emails and I messaged her on thumbtack which is where I originally found this company. I got no response and again a few days went by and I got an email from Ashley saying "I'm sorry, I had a family emergency. Your check is in the mail." That was all I got from her! What kind of business is this where if "Ashley" doesn't show up to work then the rest of the crew doesn't show up for scheduled jobs???? This girl has put us in a really bad spot and has ruined our summer because now we have to start from scratch again and play the waiting game because contractors are already booked through the summer. We just want to warn people that this company is unreliable and Ashley is dishonest so that this doesn't happen to anyone else. Please do yourself a favor and look elsewhere. You'll thank yourself later!
