Went to visit a friend in Chaska and she suggested this place. I was very happy with the choice. The food was good and the service was very impressive. I was very pleased with quickness with which our food got to us. From the time we ordered until the time the food was on the table was very little. I was expecting at least another 10 minutes before it showed up.

My wife and like to stop in here for a quick lunch date. The food is plentiful and reasonably priced, and it comes out of the kitchen fast. You can order, eat and pay in under a ½ hour. The menu is more Tex-Mex rather than authentic Mexican, but still very good. The wait staff is very polite and attentive. We have yet to stop in for dinner, so no opinion on that.(Yet)

This place is always just ok. Haven’t had an outstanding meal here yet. The margarita mix is generic and flavorless. The food is mediocre as is the service. Chaska could use a stellar Mexican restaurant but this isn’t it.

This is THEWORST«mexican» food I’ve ever eaten and that includes TV dinners. We stopped in last Sunday about 3pm. When we walked in, a young waiter walked toward us and I thought he was coming to greet us. Nope, he looked right at me and ran into the kitchen without returning my greeting. Weird. The waiter was not friendly… not until he brought the bill and wanted a tip. Salsa has no spice at all. I ordered a combination dinner and noticed that my taco was missing. When my Husband asked to see the menu(I wanted to confirm that it did come with a taco), the waiter quickly ran back and got a taco. This made it seemed that he knew that the taco was missing but wasn’t going to bring it unless I said anything. The cheese enchilada tasted good but the cheese wasn’t even melted inside. Although the plate itself was piping hot, my food was room temperature. The beef products were gross. The hamburger tasting like it was steamed with no remnants of Mexican spice. My Husband had a chicken burrito that was covered in lettuce and sour cream to hide the fact that there was barely any chicken. Very disappointing overall. BUT, the Midori margarita was great! However, I’ll keep making the drive into the cities for decent Latin food.

Ate here for the first time on Saturday night with Friends. My favorite was the guacamole, salsa and chips was great! The margaritas are huge & I ordered a medium and couldnt finish… but was very good and strong. The Service was very good as well. I would recommend trying this place out!

Good food but sketchy service. We’ve generally had very good food at patron. The food is pretty fresh and you get a good portion for the money. Service is not a stongpoint. We have gone in and not seen a waitstaff and ended up leaving a couple of times. When we have gotten served we’ve enjoyed it quite a bit.

Muchas Gracias for Patron. We love going. I often will get the cazueleda with my daughter or bride, as it’s a perfect combo of carne asada, chicken, chorizo, shrimp. Seafood or shrimp fajitas also wonderful. Great food and friendly servers. Sometimes overwhelmed by numbers but effort and smile always there.

The chicken tacos is where it is at or the chicken burrito. I guess I’m just a fan of their chicken as it’s very good. For $ 12 a person you can’t go wrong with patron. Service is always good, food is always good and the mega margaritas are HUGE! And good too.

Just moved th Chaska from Dallas and was excited to try this restaurant. Food was pretty good, but they should make their own chips. I did not know that there was hotter salsa but will ask for it next time. Chorizo was good and spicy. I’ll be back.

It was noisy, no screaming kids night in the dining room. Parenting issues not service. I had enchiladas rancheras & the pork was melt in your mouth. My wife had the beef fajitas which were full of gristle and tough. They weren’t served sizzling like Chili’s or Applebees. Someone else said the bathrooms were nasty, but true. Very clean and up to date. After dinner we had a beer in the bar area. Much better, no screaming kids. Seriously it was obnoxious in the dining room. Parents these days. Anyway we’ll be back at least in the summer for the patio and awesome margaritas. FYI ask for the Habenero salsa. If you dare…

Well done. Great staff. We like the upstairs bar area. Service makes this restaurant. Great recommendations in the menu and all 3 – 4 meals I have had have been worth the trip. The Colorado chicken dish has a fabulous sauce — try it with the red tomatillo salsa.(not the regular salsa). Fish tacos are also well done. Most places ruin fish tacos with too much sauce — they do it right– NOT swimming in sauce!

We live in nearby Victoria and decided to check this place out after receiving a coupon in the mail. The interior of the restaurant is nicely kept overall, but our booth had a gigantic tear in one of the seats that made it somewhat uncomfortable. It at least gave us something to laugh about. The waiter was friendly and the food was decent. I ordered the chile rellano, a tamal and a chicken enchilada. The enchilada was good/as expected, the tamal wasn’t the best I’ve ever had but still decent, and I didn’t much care for the chile rellano. To be fair, I didn’t know what the chile rellano(basicaly a stuffed chili) since there is nothing to compare it with. Overall we had a good experience. Most likely we won’t be back here though, as we already established Rey Azteca in Waconia as our go-to-far-west-metro-authenticish-mexican restaurant.

Acceptable I’ve been here twice for lunch and dinner. The hot salsa(ask for it) is good! I only wish that the attention paid to the salsa was equally applied to the entrees themselves. Use spices, use salt, find the pepper mill! Please learn to season things, and you will be packed out the door! I will go again, because it is pretty good and worth the drive for the salsa.

Very disappointed. I don’t expect much for Mexican in the area but I would avoid this place except for the margaritas. Service was bad. Table was dirty. Bus boy spilled salsa on us and didn’t say anything. 50 minutes to get our food. Food was extremely bland with no seasonings on the meat, not even salted. Got a variety plate and the only thing edible was the cheese enchilada. I hate giving bad reviews but this one was worth creating an account for.

Beautiful Sunny Room on main street Chaska — loved the atmosphere, kid friendly and Great Service. I loved my margarita on the rocks — it was HUGE. I only ordered a side of tamales and rice. Everyone had RAVED to me about the food. I want a good tamale when I get Mexican, so I was a TAD disappointed here. The tamales were ONLY pork, only as side or part of a combo platter and were not as ‘fluffy” as I am used to — a bit too — dry maybe is the word I am looking for… they just did not live up to others I have had. That said, HOLYCOW was the rice flavorful. You know how most Mexican rice is??? Just colored by tomatoes with no flavor? I would eat just the rice here and be totally happy. So, if there were a better tamale, this would be my favorite Mexican restaurant. As it is, its second. Hubby and rest of family LOVED their food.

We live in Chaska and are thrilled to see a successful authentic mexican restaurant close to home. After all the businesses that have come and gone in this site… I think this one will last the test of time. We really like the food and drinks. Service is good. Prices are reasonable. We have become regulars. I find myself craving their beef enchilades!

Patron serves authentic Mexican food that has a bit of a kick to it, thank goodness. I am so tired of the chain and local restaurants that seeminly put sugar in their salsa to make it sweet because we can’t handle heat. The food here is excellent, the service is top notch, and the locals seem to respond favorably to having good Mexican food served in a relaxed, casual atmosphere. Went only once, going back again and again.
