This is a nice beach, mainly because of its location. At least where we hung out there are no amenities — other than back up on the streets of Chatham. The water is cold, that’s okay, it’s close to some seals and the lighthouse. The water drops off fast in some spots too.

Short beach to walk with a TON of seaweed and nasty algae in the water! It was very crowded on the day we were there and as soon as the hot sun passed at 5 the bugs came out in force. I realize that seaweed can happen anywhere so I wouldn’t ding the beach for that. If we go there again we’ll park in the lot further from the gate for a less packed — in experience.

Love it here in the fall when the crowds dwindle. Stroll to the end of the beach where the old stage light is and watch the boats go by or cast a line and try your luck!

We only spent about 30 minutes here before we left. This was due to an undying wind that day on the cape. However, the review is 2 stars because the beach is narrow, filled with seaweed both on the beach and in the water. Even though there were small waves, the water was so churned up you could not see 2 feet into it. In addition, and this is why we left, floats are not allowed. Every other beach we have been to on CC allow floats. This is important if you have kids who like to float the day away. There are better beach choices on CC.

Nice, relaxed beach. Calm water and plenty of parking and space for your beach gear. One of the nicest public restrooms I’ve ever been in. A lot of families, but mix of other groups too. Nice change of pace from other busier beaches of the Cape.

Cleanest bathrooms on the Cape; Nice Tile… Beach itself was awesome if you get to any cape beach early your experience is a lot better. a lot of individuls with concerns show up at 11 am and expect a good spot does not happen especially on the weekends. All three Chatham beaches are nice.15 I guess is reasonable these days… Finally if you want a really awesome cape Cod experience and live an hour or two away LEAVEEARLYGETTOHYANNISANDHAVEBREAKFAST… BY8AM… AWESOME…you are on Cape no traffic…

If you have ever visited beaches on the Cape, you know its a hit or miss. This beach is not a miss for sure and for $ 15 bucks to park, you have your choice of two beaches, lots of parking and groomed sand and better yet, not very crowded and kid friendly. The water here is warm and the staff and life guards are friendly. They even don’t allow inflatables and boards so it doesn’t clutter up the water! I will go this beach every time and skip Coast Guard and Silver Beach and avoid the crowds!

I found this beach very small, a bit too crowded, and a bit filled with seaweed. A lot of families were here, probably because the water is pretty tame. I don’t find the view or local amenities particularly intriguing. However, the ample parking space is a big plus.

GREAT beach with lots of room to park($ 15 for the day) and plenty of room to spread out by the water or further back. It is friendly to any age group, from families with young children to young singles to retired people… Only issue can be the sea weed, it can be thick and last year they didn’t clean the beach daily(although this year it seems like they are). You also cant take any type of flotation device on the guarded part of the beach, but just past the ropes you can… In addition, there is a bathroom, but no concession stand(although a filthy ice cream truck does prowl the parking lot). Have to visit for at least one day!
