Great breakfast at sandis. Kids shared the hungry man special and I enjoyed the eggs and hash. Yum! Quick, affordable and good food and friendly service.

The plates weren’t clean, the coffee was basically water, and the over easy eggs were the consistency of soup. Should have had dunkin donuts instead. Save yourself a 12 $ breakfast that you can make better yourself for half the price. TOTALDISAPPOINTMENT! Plus, the server didn’t crack a smile. COMEONLADY, give me something to work with.

This place is great… not sure what what the sprinkle of negative reviews are on here for… Sandi’s is a great small town diner doing what a great diner does… casual service and great food… laid back… walk in grab a table kind of place… awesome pancakes and eggs cooked perfectly! The coffee could be a little stronger but that’s just my preference… we will continue to come back each year… go Sandi!!!

I was there on Memorial Day weekend, Great little local eatery. Got very busy but the staff was nice and attentive. Food was good diner food. My only knock was very weak coffee.

One of the worst breakfasts I have ever had. The coffee was weak to start it of badly. I ordered two eggs over easy with home fries, bacon and whole wheat toast. The eggs were the best on my plate, second was the bacon, only because it tasted smoky but the pieces were so thin and they only gave two pieces. The toast was served dry and the homed rues wouldn’t have been good if I was having dinner because they were made with red potatoes with the skins still on and not well fried.

Sandi’s was great! the ladies were wicked friendly and the corn muffin was awesome. eggs, coffee, the home fries. no complaints. I don’t know what these reviewers are crying about. maybe they’re expecting the h7tt kissing treatment from the Chatham Bars Inn. fuggehdaboudit!

Stopped here for breakfast on a Sunday morning. The food was really good, and the service quick. They were getting ready to shut down the kitchen when we walked in, but were super friendly and got our orders in beforehand. I got one of the breakfast sandwiches, which was a level above all other breakfast sandwiches due to the thick layer of juicy meat and a fresh, light bun. Tasty. My sister was equally pleased with her meal. Be aware that this is a cash only diner, but they have an atm so it’s not really a big deal. Definitely would go back for a quick bite if I’m back in town!

We visit Sandi’s Diner when we are in Chatham for Christmas Stroll Weekend. It is a quaint little establishment with a cozy grandma’s house/home kitchen feel. This isn’t like a regular large diner that you would find on every corner of Northern NJ, however it fits Chatham’s quaintness. Since we went in for a quick breakfast, nothing we ordered could really be messed up. Two of us ordered Bacon, Egg, and Cheese on an English Muffin. The other two people in my party ordered French Toast with Sausage and French Toast with Eggs, Bacon, and Homefries. The Homefries were actually pieces of roasted red potatoes with delicious seasoning. Everyone enjoyed their meal and the server and owner were super friendly. They even had a grab bag of wrapped gifts for the ladies in the restaurant. The server came to our table in the middle of our meal and told the two women in my group to pick a gift. Both of us picked the biggest items in the bag which turned out to be adorable Christmas-themed glass cutting boards. How awesome! We all felt like we were part of the group, almost as if we have lived in Chatham and visited Sandi’s for years. Sandi’s is our go-to place for breakfast when are in Chatham. Not much of a selection of breakfast eateries in the immediate area so we love it!

The food was good, but the service was VERY unfriendly. You had to fetch your own drinks from the cooler. A burger was served on an English muffin. No smile. And the menu stated that an automatic gratuity(of unknown %) was to be added to groups of more than 6 — we generally tip quite well but this automatic policy and no known % really bugs us. And again, there were no smiles at all. A smile goes a long way.

Simply good, filling breakfast. Exactly what you would think from a type of breakfast joint that I would expect many locals love

We went here for breakfast based on Unilocal reviews. Boy were we disappointed. The service was not good or friendly. The good was mediocre at best. We would not return or suggest this spot to anyone else. Too bad, since it’s in a greAt locale.

My husband and I went to this diner and loved it! It is a fun place, like an episode on tv. The service was great, loved the atmosphere and really enjoyed our breakfast. I ordered the lobster boat egg breakfast — my husband had the cranberry blueberry pancakes… what a treat! Next time I’m going for the banana ones! The service was wonderful and we loved seeing the owner –cook handle all the orders… We can’t wait to go back …

I’m from Jersey… we know diners. Sandi’s Diner is a little GEM and we come back every year. It’s the annual breakfast stop, and it’s consistently delicious. The short-order cook(aka Sandi herself), cooks all the food right in front of you. And it’s amazing. And it’s worth sitting at the counter at least one time you come in. The table service is that of a diner. People, it’s not a five-star restaurant. You’re not at Ruth’s Chris. It’s a diner, do we need to remind you of this?!? It’s good service, and they drop the check when they bring the food. Its how its done. That’s it, and we love it. The mugs that serve your coffee hold the towns ads to make you want more and come back. You always want to come back to Sandi’s Diner… because you are GUARANTEED a great, hearty, CHEAP, diner-breakfast, and what can go wrong with that?!? You get a lot of food, and it’s stick-to-your-ribs good :) We will always be back for more. :)

A-OK sandwiches. We got them to go and ate them on the benches outside as it was a nice day. Sandwiches were good, nothing special or fancy. We enjoyed them.

This is a typical small town diner. The food is decent and it seems relatively clean. This establishment’s downfall is it’s service. It took the waitress a long time to bring our menus and the place was not busy. It was probably a case of where«everybody knows your name,» but no one knew ours. When served our food, we didn’t have any utensils other than spoons. After waiting several minutes, my husband got up and went to the silverware tray and got our utensils. He also had to go to the beverage case and get my girls their apple juice. They also got my order wrong. Granted they did correct it but it wasn’t a particularly difficult order(an egg sandwich with bacon). Unless you are already a regular at this diner, I would not recommend.

Such a great little spot for a morning coffee and breakfast with a real mom and pop feeling. Sandi is friendly and quick to make great cranberry pancakes.

I’ve been coming to Chatham for years and Sandi’s has always been a town favorite. The food is consistently good, not amazing(it’s very hard to find a breakfast place that is ‘amazing’ on the Cape these days) and you also have to consider that Sandi, the owner, makes all of the food herself right behind the front counter so it is pretty amazing considering she does it all herself. But customers also have to wait longer if it is very busy(which it almost always is in the summer). I got French toast with Strawberries which was very good and the other people I was with got blueberry pancakes, which I would probably get if I were to go there again-very fluffy and just the rights amount of blueberries! The atmosphere is very casual with paintings by local artists all over the walls and murals around the restaurant– very«Cape-y». There is a counter area and then a few tables around the restaurant which overlooks the main street through Chatham center. The staff is all very friendly and have worked there for years. It is definitely a «quintessential Chatham» experience and I would recommend Sandi’s to people visiting but in the summer, make sure you get there early or be willing to wait for a table.
