Rude staff, useless hours for anyone other than non working people, oh and did I mention stale coffee?

The ladies that work here are the sweetest. They have a huge selection of coffee beans including tons of flavors. I love coffee, even coffee from NYC coffee carts so I’m not too discerning. But the ladies that work here are so friendly and so neighborly that it makes me want to buy my coffee here!

You will find no better coffee, anywhere. Always fresh, hot, delicious. Great staff. Fun stuff to buy.

Really cool place in a somewhat questionable neighborhood! I work nearby so walked here during lunch on a Monday. I wanted to buy a few lbs of coffee beans for the French press. The lady working there was helpful and explained the different roasts to me, but didn’t make any strong recommendations. They threw in a free pack of ground coffee and gave me a canvas tote to bring it home. The prices for coffee beans are really good! Like $ 8-$ 10/lb…that is half of what you’d pay at Whole Foods.

Stopped in for a cup a joe while passing through. House blend is well balanced and delish.

Terrible pumpkin latte. Very weak, couldn’t taste any espresso. Basically flavored milk. $ 3 for the drink but I would gladly pay more if they made a better product. In this case you get what you pay for.

Love, love, love TM Ward. Great staff who are always spot on with a recommendation, and you’ll occasionally get an incredible deal-like I did the other day. Three pounds of their Deluxe blend, South and Central American coffees-three pounds for $ 15.95. Normally its sale price is $ 6.95/lb. And the women are the cute preppy types Chatham is known for! :)

I had coffee from their pump once and it was terrible. In addition, when I walked in the lady asked, «Can I help you?» with a tinge of contempt.

I am most certainly a coffee snob and this place is a sure winner for both the coffee snob and the local tea enthusiast. It is a quaint little shop off the main drag in Chatham. They have so many choices of beans uniquely roasted, some with flavored oils. Both flavored and non-flavored options are absolutely scrumptious. Each morning they fresh brew the house blend, a decaf option, a flavored coffee and the local dark favorite, aptly named Judge Alito. On Wednesdays, they serve The Wow flavor and Friday is Simply Sinful. They will also grind your beans for you while you wait, but I prefer to take my beans to go whole. Other fabulous blends are Broad Street and Zach Attack. They have tons of loose leaf tea, great gifts, beautiful gift wrap and wonderful service. They know who all of their regular customers are and it is so nice to be welcomed with a smile each morning. A morning cup of Joe for this quality is the best deal in town. So inexpensive… delicious and fresh. They’ll even steam the milk for an au lait gratis. The only drawbacks I can find with this fine purveyor of coffee(and this is probably unique to the Chatham location as opposed to the larger Newark locale) are that the hours are 8:30 — 4:30 and they don’t have organic coffee either brewed or for sale in the store. Beyond that, this little coffee/gourmet gift basket shop is top notch all the way!

Went here for post-lunch coffee with a colleague on Friday afternoon and was impressed with everything about this place. Tremendous coffee selection AND an equally impressive selection of decaf coffee as well. The store smelled amazing as the different flavors mixed and matched. I filled my 16 oz cup with some sort of sinfully decadent chocolate coffee and paid all of $ 1.20 for it. I dont consider myself a coffee snob and I’ll usually just grab a cup from Dunkin Donuts or my local bagel store or deli, but I will DEFINITELY be back to T M Ward for more coffee in the near future(probably tomorrow since it’s not open today). This was by far the BEST cup of coffee I’ve had, ever. I would recommend anyone in the area to try it out.

This local coffee spot found in downtown Chatham off of Main Street is a gem. We went post #Sandy for a cup of joe while walking around and checking out the local scene. The line was long but, the ladies serving up the joes were beautiful, friendly, cool, calm and collective. The store itself was one part coffee mecca, one part candy store and one part tchotchke store. So mom and pop style. Love. We went with a red eye and a drip coffee. The coffee was cheap(in coffee standards, approximately $ 8 for the 2 coffees and some candy treats) and was good. This isn’t a café of sorts so, don’t expect to sit and enjoy that cup of coffee. This is a place where you pick up a lb of fresh ground and a cup o’ joe and skedaddle. Overall, a great little local spot and I would definitely recommend it as a place to pop in and get all your coffee needs!

This is the place to go to send a killer gift basket. Whenever I need to thank a fellow attorney for a client referral, I see Axlyn, Kim, or Cindy and order a basket or a «poof» of snacks and candy. Every time one is delivered I immediately get a call from the recipient: «OMG, the basket you sent was AMAZING!!» What’s even more amazing is that anywhere in North Jersey the baskets arrive the day after I order them. How do you do that!!!

Cool store. Very friendly. Delicious cookie. Terrible latte. Just threw an entire drink away. That bad. Based on the other reviews, the takeaway beans may be good, but I wouldn’t recommend a hot cup to go.

For someone that spends a lot of time in Manhattan and the NYC area, I find that it’s hard to find a place in NJ with truly exceptional coffee that is not commercialized(Star*cough*bucks). I always like to find alternatives and local businesses. This coffee place is about 5 minutes away from where I live now, with my wife. They have many flavors of beans that you can purchase by the pound, and a decaf version for almost every one that they have. This was important for us because my wife is currently expecting, and wishes to have decaf coffee that doesn’t suck. So if you happen to be in Central Jersey… try to stop by this place. Make sure you go earlier in the day; although they sell coffee, they are not like the late night cafes and close early.

For«real» coffee to purchase, it’s nice to know it’s in my local town. I buy the beans only and when they have some deals, say $ 6.95/lb or was it $ 5.95/lb regardless if it’s decaf(which costs more) or caffeinated, it’s a steal! Haven’t seen the promotion since Valentine’s Day. Our favorites are Simply Sinful and Jamaican Rum… the Copenhagan decaf is good as well. We usually order«Bad Ass» coffee from Maui, Hawaii but this unassuming place is great to buy coffee in bulk or just a cup of coffee. You could also buy a gift for somebody like cookies, tea pots, candy and other home knick knacks and have it wrapped in that clear cellophane wrap and pretty ribbon.
