Tale of the Cod

I had the best experience in customer service when I stopped into this store recently. This is one of my mom’s favorite stores on the Cape, so I wanted to see if I could find her a little gift. While there were plenty of beautiful things, nothing for her caught my eye, but I did see a neat-​looking dog toy and brought it to the register. While there and while paying, I asked the cashier if she thought my dogs (pitbull and husky) would be able to destroy it (obviously I was hoping the answer was no). The cashier wasn’t sure, and I was just going to buy it anyway when the store owner stepped in.
instead of trying to sell me the item, she told me that she’d read some reviews of the product and read that some people’s bigger dogs (like the size of mine) had had issues with the toy breaking from hard chewing. My pitbull is super gentle and loving with people but LOVES to destroy toys, so I was really grateful she told me that. She ended up saying that I’d be better off with another toy — one she didn’t sell in her store.
I was blown away by her honesty and willingness to do the right thing and definitely recommend this store to anyone who is in or near Chatham!

Some of the older staff are a bit snooty however, their merchandise is great!
I always find something !
