I live in Calabasas but drive all the way to Chatsworth to get my haircut at Strands with Marie Maestas. Knows definitely what’s she’s doing and worth the drive. Her prices are very reasonable and also does eyebrows which is a plus!

What can I say about Marie Maestas… she’s the best! I’ve been getting haircuts from here for years and I’m always happy. Give her a try if your looking for a great haircut.

I love this place :) I’ve been going to Jackie Davis for 2 years, she’s extremely professional… And has worked on many celebs but offers a reasonable rate. If you’re looking for great service and friendly smiles this is the place to go.

Elizabeth did my hair for my wedding along with my five bridesmaids and my flower girl. Not only did our hair look GORGEOUS, but she did it so quickly and smoothly we were shocked about how early we could leave. Love this hair stylist!!! If you want gorgeous hair she is the person to go to.

Great place… I actually followed Jackie Davis there from a different saloon.
She has been doing my hair for years and is the best! her colorist expertise, her styling and blow dry techniques are incredible! I have in the past, gone to different stylists but have always regretted it and gone right back to Jackie. (I wont do that again)

I have been going to see Marie Maestas for several years now and she is well worth paying a visit. As a young business professional, I have turned to her for all my hair care needs including cuts, style, and product. She has been able to give me a versatile haircut that can be professional during the day and fun on the weekend. She works by appointments so reach out to her soon!

Made an appointment to get a trim and even out the hair layers. The hair cut wasn’t bad, but not impressed with the service. Alisha washed my hair, and then put me in a seat and said that she will «quickly» wash another woman’s hair (they must have been short on staff or something). So I set in the stylist chair with dripping wet hair, while Alisha took her time to wash another woman’s hair. Kind of irritating, considering that I made an appointment, I did not appreciate having to wait with wet hair while my stylist was servicing another costumer. She also pulled my hair pretty hard when blow drying. I had other stylists who were more gentle. Finally, I only took a credit card, and their credit card machine did not work that day! I had to go home and grab some cash and come back in order to pay for the cut. Luckily, I only live a few minutes away.

Marie is the best! Gave me great advice and an awesome haircut. Her gentle touch will relax you. And you know how normally your hair gets pulled when you get a blow dry? Nope, not with Marie. I highly recomend her!

I’ve been seeing Marilyn since late 2009 when she was at Rumours on Topanga Blvd. After a brief time away from her, I returned to her this year because I’ve always liked her and she really does a great haircut and knows what I want. Last thanksgiving, my hair had overgrown so much I was getting sick and tired of it. Marilyn was not available so dummy me, I went to another salon — a previous salon I used to go to, but my regular gal there was out of town, so they assigned me to a different gal. Big mistake… Being as it’s the Friday after thanksgiving, and at the end of the day, too, when no one in their right mind wants to be at work, I never should have trusted that anyone could focus on doing a good job. The gal I was assigned to, though well meaning, botched up my layers BIG TIME! I tried to make do with it but after two weeks of obsessing over it, I decided to text Marilyn at Strands and lucky for me, she was available!!! And the pro that she is, she fixed it beautifully and after an hour of repair job, you have never ever seen a more pleased customer than me! Thank you, Marilyn!!!

Sooooo I am happy to say I gave this place one more chance to redeem themselves (although it WAS on a Saturday when they had an overabundance of hair stylists on duty so maybe I just got lucky) Whatever the case, I didn’t have an appointment and walked in just for a consultation again… walked out with the BEST layers ever AND a GREAT coloring job that I did not initially have high hopes for, but it was really the perfect step towards the color I wanted. I can’t give 5 stars due to my first experience there… I know it’s not as good as it gets or I wouldn’t have been completely ignored the first time. Oh well, nobody/​no company is perfect. I wish I could remember the lady who did my hair– she was great!

To anyone who is thinking about getting a Brazilian blowout from Christy L. Myers, DO IT! I have curly, frizzy hair that I had to beat into submission on a daily basis. Even with shorter hair it took 45 minutes to do, and woe to me if it was a humid day! Now 10 minutes and out the door, and that includes a couple little touch ups with the flat iron. Christy Rocks!

I came here when I got my hair styled by Ellen. I now look for more non-​toxic salons so I’m not breathing in hair dye or other chemicals. Ellen is great if you like more conventional salons.

Such a cute place! I finally got the blonde highlights I wanted without looking too dramatic or like a skunk. I highly recommend this place!
