Allied Eye

I’ve been at Allied Eye five times in the last 6 months, and each time I was seen on or before scheduled. I have a number of things going on with my eyes: photophobic, burning, sharp pain (ice cream type), major migraines, cataracts, etc., and with Dr. Matzkin treatment he has diminished most and the rest is gone. I’m finicky about my Doctors and their practices but I can give Dr. Matzkin five stars.

I had an absolutely horrible experience here. i was scheduled for a 2pm appointment and since it is a long drive to this place I left very early and arrived at 1:00. I asked if they had anything at 1:30 so I wouldn’t have to wait to long and after 5 mins or so I was told there was indeed an opening.
I checked in, filled out paperwork, and gave my insurance info. 1hr and a half later I asked the front desk if I was going to be seen since it was now 2. They looked annoyed and went to the back to «check». 5 mins later I was told there was an emergency and the doctor would see me next.
I kept seeing people go back and coming back out and I was still sitting there at 3pm. Finally the Opthalmologist emerged with a man in scrubs and the mans wife and they were all laughing and giggling. Some emergency. At 3:45pm I was finally called back.
The technician checked my prescription and asked me a few questions and then said she would «get the doctor». By that she meant– stand in the doorway and «catch him» when he came out of another room. They seemed very overbooked and unprofessional. The ophthalmologist is double certified and seems like a smart guy but I will NEVER return to just sit there and warm a seat for several hours.

My husband and I both had cataract surgery less than 2 weeks ago. We have multi focal lens implants and can see superbly. We could not be happier. Thanks to Dr. Matzkin and his wonderful staff.
