True, this isn’t the most aesthetically pleasing bike shop in the world. The owner, Joe, is set in his ways and if you can’t deal with it, then move on down the road. But if you’re like me and you DON’T own a $ 1,400 Specialized high-end-wannabe-Lance-Armstrong-Tour-De-France bike, this is a great place for you. I highly recommend this place for anyone who bought a bike off Craigslist and just needs a normal tune up without the added bicycle-guy pretension. Bring cash as Joe doesn’t take credit cards. And be mindful of the very adorable storage policy — you will get charged $ 1 per day if you don’t pick up your bike after three days of when it is ready. He does have some pretty sweet vintage Schwinns in great condition for about $ 150. I did take off one star because as soon as I test rode my bike, something fell off of it. BUT, Joe did get it back on in less than an hour at no charge. So… maybe just a heads up to take it for a spin down the block before you are on your merry way.
