CAS is home to one of my all time favorite and lesser known hiking spots, Audubon Acres. There’s actually a lot of history in this tucked away little spot. If you especially like information on the Trail of Tears and all things Cherokee, you need to come visit. Without getting too detailed, Audubon Acres is home to Little Owl Village and Spring Frog cabin. Both of these spots hold some very unique knowledge to the area and I always enjoy my visits. They now host a range of seasonal activities and a small farmers market. So if you want a little low-key outdoor adventure that isn’t too far from home, I can absolutely recommend stopping by.
