Super 8 Chattanooga Lookout Mountain

Well damn, what happened to the review I posted a few weeks ago? It seems Unilocal is censoring again.
Anyway, do NOT stop here. This place is neither pet friendly or customer friendly. I just wish I could have selected NO stars.
The manger is a lying bastard and a crook. Now, let’s see if he will sue me for liable! But we won’t as he knows what I have said is 100% true.

We were in Chattanooga for just an overnight stay and didn’t want to spend a lot of money. I will not stay here again. Very dated, no closet or clothes rack. Room was smoke free but not the facility and you could tell. Other hotels to choose from and not a lot of difference in price.

Clean (that’s why it got one star). Friendly staff (that’s why it got the second star). Dated, no closet/​clothes rack, noisey ac, flip latch on door broken, coffee maker damaged & good bit of traffic in the parking lot. Probably wouldn’t stay here again unless I had to.

Room is out dates, but clean! Service is awesome. No bugs. Tv works. Ac works. Truck parking. Staff is nice. Room is cheep. It’s not a luxury hotel but looking for something cheep and safe this is it. Plus there is a Waffle House and Cracker Barrel right next door
Would have no problem coming back

The expectations for this place weren’t high, it is an economical hotel after all. We chose this super 8 in a pinch after most other hotels higher end were booked out (we got into town late without a plan, it was a spontaneous trip). The lobby was unassuming eco lobby. The desk lady was nice. But in terms of cleanliness this place is lacking. Upon first walking into the room we were hit with the strong smell of Brillo pads, moisture, and mold. The furniture is passable, fresh painted walls, simple bathroom. The sheets were kinda stained. Not a crisp white. Design looks recently re-​done but only to make it bearable. Found a bug in our bedsheets, couldn’t decide if it was a tick or a beetle. College and epic partying have had me stay in worse as a bachelor. Nights are quite and it seems safe. It is close to the attractions. I’d recommend not staying here if you can plan further ahead and can spend a little more..

Nothing bit me. The room was pretty bad in appearance. The place was very dated, but it wasn’t just that. They repainted the walls, but didn’t take down the wallpaper border. They just painted over it. The A/​C unit was literally falling off the wall. It looks like someone sat on it and broke it. The bathroom looked like they never finished the remodel. You could still see the carpenter’s blue chalk lines around the shower and the caulking around the shower head looked like it was done by a 5 year old.
In the middle of the night the AC wouldn’t work. I am assuming this was because it was cool outside, but it definitely was not cool inside. I don’t know if there was some auto shutoff feature, but I have had the same thing happen in many other hotels.
